I asked for help with my furnace, it wasnt turning on. When they came out they literally turned my furnace off, quoted me 26k for a new system, and left. I called back because it was not resolved. They ignored my request. I dont think charging someone 50$ to make their problem worse is ethicalReview from Robert W

Tipping Hat sent out a mass text advertisement today for a $29 furnace tune up if the service was scheduled this week. I was interested so I responded. I was about ready to schedule and confirm an appointment when they mentioned a $49 service & diagnostic. I thought it was an upsell option for which I responded I wasnt interested and that I just want the tune up today. Turns out its not an add on service but a fee attached to the tune up bringing the total to $78, which is bait & switch false advertising. If they would have said that up front in the text advertisement I probably would have schedule it, but the fact that they tried to pull a fast one angered me. Its like getting a coupon for a steak dinner for $15 at a nice steakhouse, but when you get the bill there is a preparation and service fee for another $100. Its shady business tactics in a time when everyone is pinching pennies already due to inflation.Review from Raquel B

Two technicians from Tipping Hat came by my house yesterday and diagnosed our HVAC to see why it wasn't blowing cold air. I was told the capacitor was fine but the compressor was bad and I would need to replace it, or better yet, buy a whole new unit. The unit in my house is 8 years old. Both technicians, one a supervisor, took a look at the unit and came to the same conclusion. I was initially quoted $5000 for the new compressor by the first tech and then the supervisor quoted $3500. New compressor needed..... Today, we had another company look at the unit and in less than an hour, had not only found two wires that had been shorted out, causing all the issues (both capacitor and compressor are fine), replaced the shorted wires, and had the system running. Beware of this company and make sure you get more than one diagnostic/quote.Review from Rebecca M

I called for a quote to get ** in my home and ***** came out and "made me an offer I couldn't refuse". After she inspected the furnace in the crawlspace (ewwww) and looked at my electrical panel, she told me the furnace was too small for my home which made sense as it seemed to be always running in the winter. She gave me a very competitive quote for a new furnace and ** and threw in a new water heater, electronic thermostat and 3 carbon monoxide detectors along with a year's supply of furnace filters. ALL of this at 0% interest! She was right, the furnace was too small. How wonderful to wake up to a warm house on a cold day. It was **** before I turned on the ** and I'm in heaven. I am 70 and have never had ** so I am thrilled with it. I can't recommend ***** and Tipping Hat enough!Review from Cheryl R
