We contacted FCC and specifically asked to see a psychologist for therapy and a psychiatrist for *************** We got their info off of our Aetna list and were calling the providers trying to find one who would see adolescents. On the initial phone I asked several times to ensure we could see a MD for med management and a psychologist and were told yes we would be scheduled with both. On our first visit my daughter was seen by a social worker not a psychologist. The appointment went very poorly and left my daughter feeling very uncomfortable. I called the office immediately and was told we only have social workers and not psychologists, which are two different things. After getting escalated to a supervisor they found a psychologist to see my daughter. We then went to her ********* and that was with a PA. I let the PA know we only wanted to be seen by an MD for care. she left the room and said she spoke with the MD and wanted to know if we would try her first and if we felt we needed a second opinion then the MD would see us. I agreed to that so we began care. When I became uncomfortable with the medical knowledge and care of the PA I requested to be seen by an MD and was told they don't see adolescents. I reminded her of the conversation were had initially when she left the room and came back and said an MD would see my daughter she said that was wrong and the MD said under no circumstances is she comfortable seeing a minor. We spoke to a supervisor at the organization who said there are no MDs in their organization who treat minors. We then called our insurance company after FCC told us they didnt have any MDs treat minors to help us find a new provider group. When ***** called FCC they were able to get us an appointment with an MD at FCC. The appointment was supposed to be today and I called becuase I couldnt find the link and was told the appointment was accidentally cancelled and they couldnt see us for over 2 weeks.
