I took my car in for an oil change on 2/16 to Meineke in last in *******************. They changed the oil and when Driving leaving the location its smoking in the cabin, smoking from the engine, white smoke from the echaust. I call the location and and they dont return my call. I get back from the trip and take it to Meineke near **************. The engine only has 3 quarts of oil and theres oil all over the engine and the undercarriage. I drop it at the Meineke that did the work a d the owner says they did nothing wrong. That the issue is the car. But the issue started with them and magically ended when another location worked on it. I want the original location to pay to have the bearing inspected for burnishing from their lack of quality work. And since this is public no one should ever visit this location as the owner wont take accountability for his teams work.

****** 18 year old vehicle was not smoking when it left our shop. He told me it started smoking on his way to ******. It is quite obvious that the oil leak started on the highway because the underside of the vehicle was covered in oil all the way to back of the vehicle. The only way that happens is from a high wind speed pushing it backwards. We only did a oil change on the vehicle and the drain plug and oil filter had no leaks. The oil that leaked out of this old vehicle came from something unrelated to the oil change we performed. I was trying to explain this to **************** when he was at my shop, but he would not listen to anything I was saying and eventually told me to "F*** Off" as he slammed out my front door.

First they kept telling me the car didnt smoke when I left.  I called them and left a message of the problem.  They didnt return 2 message.  I took it to meineke in Brighton and they fixed it.  The owner keeps saying its was it problem.  All I know is it was fine when it came in.  Find when imeineke in Brighton fixed it.  They did not csll bright to even discuss what they saw.  Things pure negligence.  And I didnt slap his door as its self closing.  The owner refused to acknowledge their liability or township of the problem not took any steps to understand what they did and the damage they caused.

    - February 2nd, 2023/$119.95/Full Vehicle Inspection/Unsafe Service/The business has not tried to resolve the problem. They avoided the problem entirely/There is no order/tracking number. My partner took her car into Meineke after sliding on the ice and hitting a median. We reported to Meineke issues with the wheel and hubcap. After inspection, they charged her for an alignment and said the car was good to go. When driving off, we immediately noticed shaking in the steering column while going 20 MPH. We took the car to ******** ****, where the actual problem was found--a bent wheel. After spending 45 minutes with ******** ****, I went back to Meineke to ask for a full report of what they serviced on my partner's vehicle; only an alignment had been found and done--no report of shaking in the steering column. I asked if someone had driven the vehicle for an inspection and was told that they did, but only around the block. On the receipt of the alignment (see supporting docs), the mileage from the odometer is the same as it was when we took it in, which means they didn't drive the car. There was no report of shaking in the steering column after their "inspection." When I asked for a refund, I was rejected and told that they didn't do anything wrong and that an alignment was needed. I am not doubtful that an alignment was needed, but the vibration of the vehicle should have been found, but it wasn't, resulting in my partner driving off their lot unsafely. I don't believe that Meineke followed proper procedures for vehicle maintenance--which resulted in their inability to find the vibration that was happening in the steering column. We could have gone to another shop that would have found the issue in the steering column with a proper inspection, realized it was the wheel, fixed the wheel, and THEN done the alignment after all else was accomplished. Ultimately, my partner was unsafe after leaving their shop, and this is absolutely unacceptable.

On February 2nd 2023 ****** ******* brought her 2019 Rav4 into to us and told us she had hit a median and wanted us to check it out. We told her that we would look at it and we would want to check the alignment. She agreed to have us check the alignment and to align the vehicle if it was needed. The vehicle was out of alignment, so we aligned it as asked. We did test drive it afterwards. We do not do extensive test drives unless asked by the customer. Our typical test drive for a alignment is less than a mile, therefore miles in and out on the receipt are almost always the same. I did speak with Kyndle Lee, she admits that a alignment was needed and she also agreed with me at that time the vehicle was not unsafe. It had a bent wheel that we did not detect, that was causing a vibration at certain speeds. Kyndle insists that the wheel should have been fixed before the alignment. I can insure you that is not correct. We work with multiple collision centers and insurance companies, anytime time a vehicle is in a accident the collision centers and insurance companies ALWAYS want a alignment done before anything else is done. Therefore I do not see why we should refund money for a service that was needed and agreed to by the customer.
