Where do I begin. First, after a pipe burst flooding our apartment, we had to stay in a hotel for a week. We lost all of the food in our fridge/freezer due to electricity being turned off. Then out of nowhere we were told to vacate. They used some of our security deposit to pay for all of this. Then we moved apartments to finish up our lease. At move out, we left the apartment spotless. Yet, they charged us $300 for cleaning fees/ carpet replacement. When I called to figure this out they would not give me a clear response and never called me back. They also tried to charge us for 3 months of utilities and a second prorated rent. This also was not taken care of and I was pushed to the back burner. This place owes me our full security deposit.

    Hello Kaylee,

In reviewing your account, I see that we charged you for the final utility billing from 6/16/23 to 9/9/23 which totaled $230.40 as well as the pro-rated rent from September 1st to the 9th which totaled $543. This was a total of $773.40 due. You provided a cashier's check in the amount of $543.00 on September 8th bringing your total due to $230.40. We applied your security deposit of $300 to the amount due and now you will be receiving a refund of $69.60. We would be happy to provide you a copy of your full account statement. Please contact the office staff to assist with this.

    Sincerely,

    Christy Russell

I currently don’t have hot water in my apartment and can’t adequately clean and my complex won’t respond. I also had to have my hair stylist wash my hair and have asked for a prorated rent due to the situation.
