I spent 3 1/2 days at this facility, needing treatment for Bi Polar disorder and Insomnia. On my 2nd night a nurse administered ******* to me at 9pm. I asked are you sure im suppose to have this medication, she said its on your orders. I was up all night and hysterical. On my third night I was given a roommate who was on suicide watch and the tech was in every 5 minutes. I couldn't sleep and needed some relief. I asked Nurse ***** if I could use the phone and he replied with a firm no. He said it was policy no phone calls until 6am. This was at 1:00am. The last 2 nights prior to this the nurses allowed me to call me husband. This nurse would not and simply said im sorry the other nurses failed you. I said your failing me I need to talk to my husband. This scenario escalated for 5 hours. I asked to speak with a therapist and psychiatrist and the response was there was none on duty till shift change. I was being discharged the next day, at my request first am. I am a bi polar mental health patient that was drastically declining due to the lack of care, compassion and concern from nurse *****. If a phone call would ease the mind and soul of a patient, policy or not, I should have been allowed to use the phone. It was traumatic and not needed. If a phone call would have de escalated the situation, I should have been allowed to call my husband who could have soothed me and comfort me. What type of behavioral health facility doesnt have a therapist or psychiatrist on site 24/7. Upon my release they neglected to release any of my medications(that I brought in) Causing me to re buy all new medications. Who releases a mental health patient without their mental health meds. It was a disappointing and traumatic experience to say the least.
