            I purchased printer April 2022. I paid $619 for printer. I contacted Sawgrass about the issue April 2nd 2024. I was told since I'm not using their ink there was nothing they could do. I purchased a sawgrass SG500 printer in April 1922. Once the warranty was expired, (Since it stated in their agreement that if I used third party ink it would void my warranty.) I started using a third party ink. Last week sawgrass did an update to the printer and now I am unable to use the printer. I have friends that are also having this issue. I called Sawgrass, no answer so I started a chat with them on their web page. ******* told me I could still use my printer but not their "free" software since I wasn't using their ink. I have tried numerous other soft wares none will recognize the printer. I can't even print a simple one word page The screen on the printer just says install Sawgrass ink and shows all my ink as empty when I know positively that it is full. It doesn't seem fair that because I choose to use a different ink in a printer that belongs to me that I can no longer use the printer. It is basically a $600 paperweight. As stated i am not the only one having this issue. I belong to a FB group and there are many other people having this same issue. Please can you help us? All we want is to be able to have the freedom to choose which ink (their ink $300, other ink $50) I use in my printer. After all doesn't it belong to me? I understand If I can't use their program but to lock up my printer because I'm not letting them ***** me on ink is unreasonable.
