Dig Boss was a nightmare that refuses to go away. It would be too long of a post to go into every aspect of what this company put me through. Suffice it to say, I hired them mid-February and the latest problem from their work was just last week! I stopped calling them as why add to the stress they have already caused me. The 'highlights' of this nightmare include 8 days without plumbing; being told on day 7 after replacing 35' of sewer line that my pipes were still clogged and still needed to be jetting out-but oh, they don't do that; not doing the backfill properly so when I walked across the scar I sank in multiple areas some knee deep and more. I was told I didn't know what I was talking about when I called on this issue. To appease me they brought the crew back and the tamper sunk from 18"-24" and took two men to pull up. The dump trunk brought a fraction of what was needed to fill this area (remember this was to appease me); the next truck brought chunks of cement! and the last truck brought **** and river rocks. Save your sanity and look elsewhere.

Dig Boss was contracted on Friday February 23, 2024, to replace an 8 ft section of the sewer line in the back yard which had collapsed.Once the initial repair was completed on that Friday, it was determined that the collapsed section of pipe had allowed mud and dirt to fill the line.  Dig Boss does not provide any jetting or drain cleaning service. We recommend ******** have a professional drain cleaning/jetting service to clean the mud out of the line so we could inspect the rest of the line for any further problems.  On Monday February 26, after the jetting work was performed, Dig Boss inspected the rest of the line and recommended replacement of an additional 27of sewer line. The work was approved by the homeowner and completed that same day. Our scope of work specifically excluded repairs to any sprinkler lines. City and County of ****** inspected and approved our work on Monday February 26th,the excavation area was backfilled and compacted on the same day.

Occasionally heavy rain or overwatering can cause a properly compacted trench to settle. The homeowner had a broken sprinkler line which was left unattended for several months which caused the excavation area to settle substantially.  When contacted regarding the settling, Dig Boss brought in fill material and re-compacted the area at no additional charge.

We feel its important to note that ******** tried to dispute the charges (stop payment) with her credit card company for the work we performed. After the credit card company performed its investigation, they ruled in favor of Dig Boss.

Its unfortunate that ******** was unhappy with her Dig Boss experience. We hope she has a happier experience with her next contractor.

It is interesting to see the two sides of this story. I was given Dig Bosses name after Colorado Sewer put their ****** through my pipes. Approx. ************************ my pipe. I could not use my plumbing until it was removed. I agreed to the 8 excavation as proposed. I paid the first half of that when they started by credit card. Friday afternoon **** called me that they were done and would I sign off on the rest of the invoice. When I did so he did not recommend I get a professional drain service/jetting service. He said I needed an additional 27 feet done. I was shocked but did not know what else to do. It was Friday afternoon. I should have said I will think on it as they dont work on weekends I found out after the fact. I signed the second half of the first invoice and the first half of the second job. They came back Monday morning and worked through Tuesday evening, finishing up by iPhone flashlight. I was not given the second half of the second invoice. I was told instead that dont use your plumbing. The blockage is still there!! This is when I was told I needed to get another clean out job done. I had already decided to pay the last part of the second invoice by check as my credit card max would be more than the credit line I had. Instead of rejecting Dig Bosses last invoice that I had not signed, they let it through. I contested it. The credit card company did not side with Dig Boss. They said I needed to work it out with Dig Boss. The credit card company did not apologize for upping my credit limit without my consent. As to the sprinklers. What the project manager told me was that the crew would pull up all cut hoses so that I would know what needed to be repaired. I also talked to the crew boss about this to be sure that was done. 5 hoses were left above ground. One was not. I turned my sprinklers on in late April after the 5 were repaired. Before the sprinklers were repaired the trench had already settled, which is to be expected. However, when I walked across it I sunk in places up past my knees. After the sprinklers were turned on the settling got worse. I did not overwater as inferred by Dig Boss. When I called about this extreme settling, as the contract did say they would backfill, but nothing else, I was made out to be some dumb old woman who doesnt know anything. I am a gardener and I know my yard. The same crew came out and a dump truck with a few yards of dirt. This is approx a 35 feet trench, mind you. Once they got the tamper out, it sunk ***** and it took two men to pull it out. Not just in one place, but across the trench in my yard. Whatever they brought to fill in was barely noticeable. Next truck load was full of cement pieces! Large chunks. I called **** and by the time he came to see what was going on, the crew had removed all the cement chunks and the truck had left! I had taken photos though so he could not dispute that. Plus my neighbor had come over and witnessed it. I asked for top soil as my established garden bed had been destroyed. What I got was ***** I had to have a yard plus of **** removed from the scar in my lawn to replace the sod. I wont even go into the old gas pipe that ran along the top of the sewer line that Dig Boss insisted had to be hand dug around, even though I told them the new gas line was on the other side of the house! I asked that **** be called in before continuing but **** said it would take too long and they didnt want to wait. That cost extra and made the trench twice as wide. Then the crew broke the pipe anyway without telling me and when the sprinklers were turned on I found the old abandoned pipe cut parallel to the wall in the basement behind some shelving because it flooded a corner of the basement with mud when I turned on the sprinklers! Dig Boss may or may not do a good job for you. I can tell you that of all this, the hardest part for me was that the company refused to take responsibility for anything and it was always how dumb the homeowner are. And *** I did find a company that I am happy with who cleaned up after Dig Boss and Colorado Sewer (dont use them either-but that is another story). I have recommended this third company to neighbors who have also been pleased.

Work was done adequately. The project manager ********************* came out at no charge on his day off to look at a proposed site. He also scoped our clean out. However there was a bit of an issue with his communication. He told me 12/16/23 that his crew could remove the kitchen countertops and cabinets for the excavation on 12/18/23. He notified me early 12/18/23 that his boss told him that Dig Boss does not do that. I then had to find someone else to remove the kitchen built ins. This is an HOA and minimum of 4 units were without water and kitchen drains for 2 extra days due to his incorrect information. I think he should of known better. It was a 3 day job and he did not always return to the job site for inspection.

    Hello,

Thank you for your post.  This will help us to better train our technicians with the correct knowledge of what is included in our service and what is not. The Project Manager was also reminded that communication is our number one priority.

We are very sorry that your tenants were without service for those two extra days. We will strive to better our communication and make sure that every Project Manager has a full understanding of the scopes of work we offer.

    Thank you!

Dig Boss, LLC is a disaster of a sewer repair company. Over promised and under delivered. **************** and follow through are deplorable. After getting three separate quotes, we chose Dig Boss, LLC due to their assurances the service they offered would do minimal damage to our front yard. They were the most expensive of the three though *****************************, the field supervisor, repeatedly promised to take care of any issues that *** occur. Oddly, ***** flat out refused to scope the sewer line because we had two other scopes done previously. The excavation crew dug the trench, replaced the pipe for the original belly that had developed over time and partially covered the trench within a day. ***** was supposed to return the same day to inform us of the status and supervise the completion of the job. ***** never showed up and never contacted us. We called him but his voicemail was full. We followed up with a text which he informed us that they could not complete the job until we fixed the electrical line and the numerous water lines they had severed during their work. ***** neglected to inform us during excavation, his crew also cut our main water line which created a flood. We had the electrical and water fixed within four days. We called *****, again no answer and voicemail full so we texted. He promised to try and have the trench filled that same day, but assured it would be completed by weeks end. It was not done nor did ***** ever follow up. We called and texted at weeks end, no response from ***** or Dig Boss, LLC. We followed up the next week and ***** apologized and said he cannot schedule tie *** ************, though he would contact the scheduling manager and put us on the top of the list. This was over three weeks ago, numerous more calls and texts. No response and no resolution. Meanwhile we have a trench in our front yard and our front landscaping is dying because were waiting for Dig Boss, LLC to follow through on their contract with us.
