The following describes a pending government action that has been formally brought by a government agency but has not yet been resolved. We are providing a summary of the government's allegations, which have not yet been proven. A Denver District Court has issued a preliminary injunction order against Denver Custom Food Trucks, Brothers Custom Food Trucks and the owners, Larry Perez and Rudy Martinez. The Defendants took advantage of the high demand for custom food trucks and promised fast build outs and trucks that would pass government safety inspections, knowing that they couldn't deliver on those promises. Some victims liquidated savings or quit jobs contingent on those promises. Trucks were delivered late or were faulty or inoperable, often failing to deliver trucks with a clean title. Both businesses were shut down in May 2018 for failure to pay taxes but continued to operate their businesses. The preliminary injunction order prohibits the Defendants from engaging in any activity related to the fabrication, repair or sale of food trucks.
