I hired a Jared G******** from "The Appliance Repair Guys of CT" to fix my fridge because the freezer was not freezing. He said he was, "99% sure it is the starter and that if it doesn't fix it, he will refund me parts and labor", which equates to $300. He put the starter in, he invoiced me for $467.22, which included a $169 service fee. I paid a flat $500 because I was being nice. After a few days, the freezer started to break again. I called him and he said he was sorry and that he would have his secretary send me the $300 on 4/29/2024. Long story short, I never heard from him again. I have called both phone numbers, sent a few texts, and an email telling him that I'd pursue legal action and I have not received any response. I have already contacted my lawyer. I want my full $500 refund and based on this man's complaints from other customers being scammed out of money, his business needs to be shut down.

Date of service January 13th Company: The appliance repair guys of CT Technician:Jared G also known as J Called ****** ************ ****** and they Contacted J to repair a refrigerator that wasn't cooling but the freezer was intact. J refused to check other components of the fridge and insisted it only needed to be defrosted. He informed us that to come out it was $189 and in the end in total charged us $250. J told us that he had a 90 day warranty and if he didn't solve the issue he would return. We've been calling him since January 29th and he's refusing to return our call. A detailed voicemail was left. J seems to be a scammer and just changing his company name. I'm very upset that he was referred to us and is allowed to operate his license should be pulled.

Technician Jared G******* repaired my dryer, I think it was in February. The dryer never really worked properly after the repairs. Initially after the repair the dryer will overheat, and the cycle will stop. Then the dryer did not heat up at all afterwards. This all happened within a month after repair. He told me there was a 3 month warranty on the repairs. He told me he was going to send me an invoice via email. I trusted him, he never sent the invoice. I paid $ 465.00 for the service. I wrote the check out to him Jared G*******. I am just trying to get my money back.

Business: Helping Hands Appliance Owner/Repair Person: Jared Date of Transaction: March 25, 2022 and March 28, 2022 (date of invoice says 03.25.2021 but work performed on 03.25.22. I have text messages with invoice and dates as backup) Amount Paid for Service and Water Pump: $456.15 ($227 paid on 3/25 as deposit and $229.15 paid on 3/28) What Did Business Committed to Do?: Repair washing machine - replace water pump Nature of dispute?: Washing machine was not repaired and water pump was not replaced Has Business Tried to Resolve Issue?: No. Jared has not replied to many texts and will not answer my calls I am paralyzed and since I am in a wheelchair, I was not able to go down to the basement to check on the repair or ask him to show me that the washing machine was working properly. He took advantage of my disability to deceive me of work performed. Since the machine would not work, my brother repaired the washing machine. I bought a new water pump because he said it was never replaced. He knew the pump was not replaced because the water pump he replaced had the date of of when we bought the machine (I have the water pump as evidence). Additionally, he said there was no indication that Jared had even worked on the machine because of the undisturbed dust in the area of the water pump. I am asking for a full refund of $456.15 because work was not performed correctly and a new replacement water pump was not provided by Helping Hands Appliance.
