I am writing in response to a complaint submitted by Ms. ****** ******** as against Kapura General Contractors, Inc. First and foremost, this matter and issue has been fully resolved. There was an "action" that was commenced by Kapura General Contractors relative to final payment and also which related to Ms. M******** defamatory statements on social media about Kapura General Contractors, Inc. The genesis of the issue between Kapura General Contractors, Inc. and Ms. M******* stemmed from a fire at her home in December, 2017. Subsequent to the fire, Kapura General Contractors, Inc. was retained by way of written contract for reconstruction and rebuilding of the home as a result of the fire damage. That restoration was completed, inspected, and approved by the local officials and Ms. M******* did not express any dissatisfaction with the work. To the contrary she was very pleased with Kapura's work. It was not until Kapura General Contractors, Inc. did not receive final payment of approximately $18,000 and began efforts to receive that final payment that Ms. M******* then began her campaign of complaining as against Kapura General Contractors, Inc. It was determined through the course of litigation in the New Britain Superior Court, which was commenced by Kapura General Contractors, Inc. for collection of the final payment, docket ******************* that Ms. M******** homeowner's insurance carrier had in fact paid Ms. M******* the final payment amount which should have been turned over to Kapura. The final payment was provided directly to Ms. M******* who did not turn over and pay that sum to Kapura General Contractors, Inc. but retained it for her own benefit. Kapura General Contractors was involved in litigation with Ms. M******* relative to that final balance as well as her social media complaints as against Kapura General Contractors and the matter resulted in mutual releases and a withdrawal of all claims against each other so as to have satisfactory resolution of the claim. Persuant to the Better Business Bureau guidelines, this matter has been resolved through a court action and any complaint regarding Kapura General Contractors, Inc. by Ms. M******* should be removed.
