This is a complaint against a masonry job. It was to create a new retaining wall and infrastructure for a porch. It was to replace a wooden railroad ties structure with a Stone wall design. One week after the job was complete, The surface of the paving blocks began to sink. I called the Company and they came out and repaired one paving block. I told them of my concern that the rest of them would start to sink because they did not use proper tamping devices, and the interior of the structure was settling badly. The owner told me that if there was any problem, they would come back, especially in the spring And that his word was good. I asked him at that time to please send me a receipt or invoice for the work done because I wanted to file a claim with my insurance company for water damage that caused a railroad ties to collapse in the first place, he said he would do that. I have made several requests and asked him to please send me the invoice. and that the invoice should include materials and time on task for the jobs completion. Still, I have not received any word back from them, except the fact that they were away for a week or so around Christmas. I have not heard a word back from them since I have made phone calls left text messages and have not received any information back from them. In the meantime, I am still waiting for this invoice because I need to make a claim with my insurance company. The last message I left was that I wanted to make an appointment with them so they could come back in the spring in April or May in order to make two repairs. I have no idea why they are not responding to my messages they have cashed all of the checks I have sent them. Could you please help and having some Restitution with this problem of being totally ignored.

On June 5, 2023, Father & Son Masonry fixed an uneven sidewalk and redid the stone dust in a stone patio. They charged $6000, and unfortunately we did not get a competing bid. Jeff asked for $2000 downpayment, paid in check, which he promptly cashed. I paid the balance, on June 5 (date of service) and asked for a receipt on June 5. He promised to email it but I've never received to date after repeated requests. I believe I was overcharged. Jeff stated he pays his workers $500/day. There were 4 men, only worked 1 day. So that's $2000. The material (stone dust bond) could not have cost more than $200. Therefore the remaining amount was clear profit. I would like an invoice and copies of receipts for this job, justifying the $6000 total that we paid.

I hired Jeff to refinish my foundation on my house and to refinish two stone lanterns on the front lawn on 4/27/2023 for five thousand dollars. He said there is a three-year warranty on the job. He had me right out two checks one for $3000.00 and one for $2000.00 when he finished the job. He also requested that I write the check payable to ***** ******* which I thought was a little odd. He also said I would receive a receipt via an email that night which never happened. After numerous texts and phone calls I still haven't received the receipt. So, if I can't get a receipt from him. The chances of him honoring a three-year warranty are next to none. The job was not complete without the itemized bill. I think the IRS should be informed about this company.
