I applied for a secured card with Applied Bank. The card works fine. However, they have extremely substandand security and protection for your card because they do not allow you to view your statements online and you cannot sign up for paperless billing. Currently, my card has a high balance and I know the charges are not all ffrom me because I rarely use the card. I explained to their CSR that my mail is being stolen and I have not received a statement in over 90 days. I asked to go paperless. They stated they do not offer it. So I logged on line to see my online statement, and they do not offer that either. What is this? There is fraud on my card and there is no way for me to review it on paper, or on line for myself. I need to see it in writing so I'll know what to dispute. Applied Bank offers no solution. Next, I will be filing a consumers complaint with the government becuase this is absurd. We live in an age of very active A.I. and hacking and they can't offer paperless billing or allow you to view your online statement? This company does not need to exist with such low level or personal protection of your data and identity. Extremely disappointed. Had I known the limitation of this credit rebuilding card, I would have NEVER applied. Shame on Applied Bank!Review from Trisha G

This bank is horrible! Ann with id# a3z pretty much called me a liar! They are reporting an account that is not mine and she wouldn’t give me the banking information that was used with this account! I told them what the last four of my bank account information is and they said that doesn’t match what they have on file but it doesn’t prove enough to show It isn’t my account!Review from Travis S

ZERO STARS. I have had a credit card account with Applied Bank for 3 years. I have never missed a payment, I have never had a late payment, I have done nothing to negatively impact this account. This week I tried to use my credit card and discovered it expired in March, so my immediate thought is that the new card was not mailed or got lost in the mail. I call their customer service number and after waiting on hold the first agent tells me that a new card was not mailed because I have to verify my identity by Faxing copies of my address and photo ID to their P.O box. I find this strange so I checked my email and I have no notice from applied bank that this is a requirement of renewal, my online account also has no notifications stating this, and my address has been correct on my account the entire time. So I call back and speak to a different agent who has to put me on hold multiple times to eventually tell me that someone on their end closed my credit account instead of issuing a new card 4 months ago. I am unclear if this was an error or a decision that was made on false information. The agent then tells me that I will have to contact their collections department on Monday to resolve the issue and that I can apply for a new account. I then have to explain to him several times that my online account is still active, shows my balance and credit, and that I have been continuing to make my monthly payments this entire time. The conclusion is that they closed my account, leaving me without funds I currently need on the card I have had with them in good standing for 3 years, but left my online account active so that they would still receive their monthly payments which left me unaware of the issue. I WILL NOT be opening another account with Applied Bank, due to their negligence to manage customer accounts correctly, give accurate information, and for having one of the least user friendly systems I have ever encountered. I welcome a response from a bank representative.Review from Crystle F

Trying to get a mortgage and this account that I called to close...and have my deposit applied to the balance since my card would constantly be declined for suspicious activity!!! Now to find out they kept the deposit and say I owed the whole amount!! How can they just not close the account as requested???Review from Lydia T

Do not get this card unless you want to pay fees monthly and yearly. Then when you close the account and pay your last bill which is a yearly fee cuz you don’t use the card you get a email saying you owe 1.14 for interest on said annul fee. But the accounts been closed for a month , so the sneaky mfers want to tac on another LATE fee of 30.00 for that 1.14 that you shouldn’t have even owed. When I closed the account the lady said this will be your finally bill. Even my credit said account closed in good standing. So be very aware they try to take your money in fees any way they can. Get a credit card from any other place but them.Review from Khatera H

This bank AWFUL!!! The credit limit sucks, the customer service sucks, the online payment service sucks. Trued using a debit Visa card it said, no pin debit can be used but there’s no where you can enter a pin. Tried using a credit card and it said credit cards are not accepted… YIKES!! They are closed on the weekends and do not open until 9AM M-F. I had a balance of $3.50 which I tried relentlessly to pay online for 3 days due to applied bank not taking payments via phone. I finally got a hold of someone Tuesday that told me my balance was now $9 due to finance fees and I had to pay an extra $12 fee for paying over the phone. This is a scam of a company. No one should ever bank or get a Credit card with them.Review from Bentley S

Always a problem to go online with this company that claims the highest in credit card security. there website is no good it keeps wanting to verify identity with the correct information. I don't think this Bank really wanted to give out credit cards to consumers especially if and when you don't have your card on you or in travels you can't make a payment with them. I'm canceling been with them almost 2 years? no evaluation of wanting to increase my credit line. I do not recommend applied bank and from the looks of it im surprised they still exist with all the frustration they have Givin consumers over the years.Review from James W

Year's later and I'm still haunted by the Applied Bank account I requested be closed. Unfortunately it was never closed and while I had paid the account in full, the monthly fee was charged as a late fee and thus a $70 outstanding balance. I won't even know how to resolve the issue and clear this on one of my credit reports. The other report removed it based on my dispute, but Transunion did not, Reading the reviews, it appears im Not the only customer who requester to have the account closed and it wasn't closed. For years this has been the negative report on record. If I can figure out how to pay it I will admit wrongdoing, but I'm just tired of it wearing it's ugly head. Don't get me wrong when I was establish g credit Applied was there for me and I did what I was supposed to. When I no longer needed it, it was my choice to choose to discontinued the service. Apparently they see things differently and have the final say.Review from Ashley E

The employees consistently lie to you, they tell you one thing but do another. I called to have my account closed two months ago, found out that they never finalized the closure and I’ve been being charged maintenance fees for the account. Called again to have it closed and was told it’s officially closed. Jokes on me, more maintenance fees with interest added on. Why’re you charging someone maintenance fees for an account that’s supposed to be closed. I faxed information to them trying to get the wrongful charges taken care of and get the money that it turns out should’ve never been given to them, but I’m told they’ve never received anything. Given a fax number to rewrite my handwritten letter and it’s the exact same fax number. I’m starting to think they genuinely just don’t care about you and that they just want to continuously leech money from you by any means possible. The whole reason this whole issue started is they let someone in another country try to make charges with my card and not once did they ever contact me and try to see if it was really me making the charges. Im extremely disappointed with this company and I would never bank with them again nor recommend them to anyone. The way they do business is extremely sketchy and I almost always felt uneasy with their telephone customer service representatives. You have to constantly check your statements and every charge otherwise they’ll try to pull a fast one on you.
