I have been a good customer of Balclays Frontier since 2016, never missed a payment. I noticed a few months ago my balance was increasing significantly, despite my on-time payments. I paid over $400 last month and have available credit of $100 this month with another payment of over $400. I am aware of the exhorbennt interest rate being charged on all credit cards but when I called today I was told I was being charged an additional interest rate, since November, due to a change in the terms and conditions. When I asked what assistance they could offer, they sent me to a debt consolidation line that advised me to stop paying the credit card so they could negotiate a cheaper settlement in a few months. I have an excellent payment history, but I fail to understand why Barclays charges interest rates so high that their best customers can't keep up. Instead, they want you to consolidate your debt. Stop paying the monthly payments that is negative to my credit and stop them from getting their money. The fact I was unable to speak to a manager, the second time I called, to inquire if there were any other options to get this paid off, a lower interest rate or a payment plan is unacceptable, IMO. The agent who answered the phone repeatedly told me to calm down and speak slowly. I have a disability with my voice, I am soft-spoken and raspy. She was rude and offensive. All of this on top of them changing how airline miles were earned, which is why I got the card to start with. It used to be one mile for one dollar, when I went to cash miles I learned I had none because the was also changed without notice. The worst, most dishonest, fraudulently financial company....I just want a way out, without destroying my credit and strongly caution anyone else before doing business with them.Review from Edward O

Horrible customer service. I was on vacation, and they have these tables set up to suck people in to getting better vacation packages. If you don't cancel within 7 days, they charge you. I was actually hurt on a boat from their vacation hotels and was not able to cancel the package until about 9 days out. They will not work with you; they have poor customer service answering phones. Now I'm stuck with $10,500 bill in which I cannot even enjoy the vacation packages. Have written them letters and sent emails. They also are working with RCI which is another credit card company. I wish there was something I could do to stop this.Review from Br P

With the A+ rating I thought I'd be the first person with a negative review but I am glad to see they're ruining everyone's life, not just mine. I wanted to enter in a payment plan to catch up on my 2 credit cards, but self-service would only let me do this by agreeing to close my accounts. I would NEVER do that as these are my best cards. Therefore I went to chat with an agent to discuss my issue. I asked if I could arrange something without closing my account, and as far as I'm aware they said yes, so I set up as agreed. I logged in the next day and my cards were both closed. Barclays cannot provide evidence that I did indeed agree to this, only that "there is a disclosure that would have been read to you" - which I have no recollection of because once again, I would NEVER agree to it. Since then I have had absolutely GARBAGE customer service. Since they already closed it on me I ended up trying again to set up a payment plan, but later changed my mind because I would rather keep a roof over my head, and after cancelling my payments I was still charged on one of them. I asked to be removed from the program and that I wanted a refund for that payment. They put in a request for the refund which could take multiple billing cycles, which I think is ridiculous - if you can take my money that quickly you should be able to return it just as fast. All I want is proof that I agreed to having my account closed so I can stop being so angry and start making payments so it doesn't hurt my credit score any further, but since they are apparently unable to do so (which seems illegal to me???) I refuse to give them another dime and will take the hit for life if I have to.Review from Jesse Y

It is incredibly disappointing that a giant bank like Barclays provides the worst customer service in the US. I was trying to open a credit card on 12/5 and waited a week without a response, so I called; the representative said I needed to fax additional information to verify my identity. I understood and provided those right away via fax. I waited for another week, but still no response, I had to give them a call again. OMG, this dude who answered the phone was unprofessional to an unbelievable degree, saying my documentation provided was incomplete. First, I am 100% certain that I followed the instructions mailed to me. Second, if my supporting documents were insufficient, why would no one call or email to notify me? Lastly, if a representative cannot effectively communicate with customers, having him/her sitting on that spot is a disgrace. Consider minding your business somewhere else.Review from Jose R

After a few years, my barclay's credit card has had better interest rates than any I owned. No issues, no late payments, no overlimit fees. I charged a few items this past month and bam! The NEW interest rate on just those 2 charges were 5% higher than my normal interest rate. I contacted them about it and they told me that they needed to pull in line with normal credit cards. What a kind thing for them to do, considering my payment history with them. So I guess everything that gets charged from now on will be at the New normal %rate. I'm beyond fed up with all these rules that take a book as big as a dictionary to hold. I will not be charging anything from here on out with these people. That's just a slap in the face for us poor folks. I wouldn't recommend.Review from Hoozaifa T

I’ve had one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences with Barclays regarding their handling of my Wyndham Earner Business Credit Card application. I applied for the card and was initially approved, but the process quickly turned into a nightmare. After the approval, they requested additional documentation, including U.S. tax filings. I have been living in Canada the past few years so I don’t have tax filing in the U.S., so I informed them that I could not provide this documentation. They said ok then we cannot let you open the account. I thought that would end here for the card. While this was frustrating in itself, what happened next was outright unethical: I was STILL charged for the $95 annual fee for this credit card that they never allowed me to activate or use. I was essentially billed for a service I was denied access to, and no reasonable explanation was provided. I was so shocked when I looked at the billing statement sent to my address. I reached out to Barclays explaining what happened [why do I have to explain the situation in the first place - they should know] to ask them to reverse the charge, expecting this obvious error to be resolved quickly. Instead, I was met with unhelpful responses and no resolution. The CSR asked me to pay the fee, and he has no way to help me. This leaves me not only out of pocket for $95 but also deeply disillusioned with their practices. What makes this worse is the principle of the matter. How can a company charge a customer for a product or service they didn’t deliver? This feels like a blatant disregard for fair treatment and ethical billing practices. This company’s process lacks transparency, and their customer service has been unwilling to address clear injustices. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, I strongly recommend avoiding this card. This has been a costly and frustrating lesson for me, and I hope sharing my experience will prevent others from going through something similar.Review from Ronald T

entered into a hardship repayment plan with Barclays MasterCard as of October 2 I was told that I could pay a specific monthly amount and my account would not be charged off as long as I continue to make my payments. I made my payments for the month of October and November as agreed. When I attempted to make my payment for December I no longer had access to my account and when I called I was told my account was sent to collections. I was then told that there was a discrepancy on there in which needed to be escalated. Several times I called and was hung up on. There was no notice that my account would be closed when speaking to the representatives of Barclays they told me that I did not qualify for the plan but yet accepted my monthly payments as payment towards a plan that they said I did not qualify for months after. This inconvenience has now gone on my credit and has caused me other inconveniences as well. I do not recommend
