We used this company to install a new complete AC unit (inside, outside, ducts, thermostat). Invoice date was December 9, 2022 for $4,875.99 which was paid in full in cash. Every time someone was supposed to come to do something, we were told a day/time yet nobody showed. When we asked Samuel for an update, there was always an excuse-- court date, sickness, babysitting, other jobs, forgot, license suspended-- and usually followed up with an attitude. When getting inspections done for the permit we had to pull we were informed that none of the required stickers and paperwork were on the unit so they dropped the stickers off weeks later. Still didn't have the AHRI needed for the permit. After the lack of communication and overall unprofessionalism from Samuel, we told him if we did not hear back from him we would file against his contractors license to which he replied, "your threats mean nothing I will whipe my *** with the building department." On May 11, we contacted Samuel to let him know that the brand new outside unit would only run for a couple minutes then trip the breaker. Tuesday (May 16) a technician came out to replace the compressor under warranty. The new compressor was also bad, so Samuel told us to contact the wholesaler directly (if you are familiar with any sort of wholesale/retail situation, you know that wholesalers don't deal with homeowners directly) and to see if they could come out and replace it because Samuel would be out of town and they had already "gone out of the way to do what we can to help you". After going back and forth with the wholesaler, they agreed to supply another new compressor but we had to pay $150 for a diagnosis and then had to pay another company that the wholesaler recommended $700 to install the new compressor. Samuel stated that since he replaced the compressor the first time under warranty and that this was the second unit that was bad, that it was out of his hands.

Date of transaction: 08/18/2022 Zero came to my house to install new central AC. They removed all my old AC system that still cooled my house some. When I asked if they got a permit they packed up the new equipment and left. I said what are you doing? I said are you going to put my old AC back so at least we have that. He said no because he tore it up and it would not work. They refused to speak to us after that. I said what kind of company leaves two senior citizens with health problems in the heat? No answer I called the boss and no answer. I left him a message I said I'll give you a down payment then the rest when you get the permit, he hung up on me. Also the invoice had no company logo. Neither did their van. I called the police who said it was a civil matter. They said call the city permit office and report them working on it without permit. City said it's a civil matter. We are old and upset. I'm shaking. We both have diabetes, high blood pressure and heart, kidney issues. Now we are paying for a motel to stay out of the heat and we cannot afford this. Please help us the amt paid above refers to the money we have had to spend for stay in motel so far .They need to pay for our air conditioner they tore out. This is also elder abuse.
