I signed a contract with FL Green Development on 3/3/2023 to replace my windows and doors. We agreed to a price of $42,000 for everything. We agreed to a loan with ******. ****** cancelled that loan on 3/7/2024 due to FL Green not completing any work. The project is still to this day not completed *********************************** Green reached out to me and is trying to charge an extra $2400 for them not inspecting the house properly initially. The loan is now much higher than the original due to them not holding up their end of the bargain. I agreed to pay the contract price of $42,000 and nothing more. They are threatening putting lien against my house if I do not pay the entire amount of $44,400. This project was promised to be completed in 3 months and it has been 18 months and it is still not done. They are nasty people who should be out of business asap! I am the client and they have done nothing to try and make this better but instead the opposite. Please feel free to contact me as I have all documentation to support this.

    Dear Mr. ****** and BBB,

We would like to address the concerns outlined in the complaint regarding your project with FL Green Development.
We believe there may have been a misunderstanding. The project, which began under the terms of the contract signed on 3/3/2023, was completed and a satisfaction form was signed by the client, confirming the work met the agreed-upon standards. Additionally, later on Thursday, September 19, the client signed the completion documents with the financing company, including the change of order of $2,400. This change of order was necessary due to unforeseen conditions that were not identified during the initial inspection of the home. This was communicated to the client during the process. We apologize if there was any confusion regarding these charges, but they were necessary to complete the project in compliance with all regulations and standards.
Our team has worked diligently to complete the project, and we believe the signed satisfaction form and completed financing documents reflect the successful resolution of the work. We remain committed to resolving any concerns and encourage open communication to clear up any lingering issues.

We appreciate the opportunity to address this matter.
    Sincerely,
    FL Green Development Team

We met with sales rep **** were sent photos of tile that we had to pick from because they wanted to start the next day. There communication is nonexistent. have spoken with ***, project manager, On multiple occasions, regarding issues and items that we were told we would be able to get. We have not gotten anything that we requested. He told me, no problem, these things would be taken care of. We still do not have a niche for products in shower, safety bar for my mother who is 80 or frosted glass for the shower doors. *** told me no they don't do that. they brought my doors. I asked if they did that and they said yes *** doesn't listen or follow through theyre just doing what they! Why have us pick out everything want if you're not going to give it to us then order everything from amazon. Dad told it's not from Amazon they're manufacturer ships through Amazon. Vanity we picked on back order *** sent us a photo of another vanity and that was what we were getting ordered for my bathroom was a 42 when I had 60 in mother's bathroom 36in should be a 42 and then tells us that there's nothing he can do because they already put them together we can't change it. Junior, title Unknown, he would show up at my house at 2:00 have some girl with him and tell me they're going to sit down at the dining room table to have lunch. He demoed my second bathroom before I had a first bathroom so my mother and I had to leave the house to go use the bathroom somewhere else. I still don't one complete bathroom yet. It's about 6 weeks I was told 10 days. They got cement and paint all over my windows at the front of house that I can't get off, everything is a mess he had two different color grout in the tile in the shower, my mother can't reach shower head because it's too high, didn't sand anything before he painted everything is peeling off, my sink is leaking my mom's toilet is leaking *** has tried to work with us however I still am not happy I'm not satisfied it's still not right

    Complaint: 21666628

I am rejecting this response because this response does not tell me anything more than I have already been told the past few weeks and still nothing has been accomplished I have been told time and time again that everything will be taken care of and still I'm fighting to get things that I didn't get that I asked for right from the start I don't see how they can make everything possible considering I do not want them to tear my bathroom apart and start over again which they would have to do to give us the niche in the shower that we both wanted and for the hot and cold water to be fixed in my mother's bathroom they would have to remove the tile as well and fix the pipes that were mixed up. But we would like is a new vanity for one bathroom which would be my bathroom 60 in vanity that I get to pick out and the vanity that is in my bathroom currently to get moved to my mother's bathroom and the vanity that is in her bathroom they can have and do whatever they like with everything else we will take care of ourselves we've given them plenty of opportunity plenty of chances this project started in March we're now in the middle of May I just had surgery on Monday and I do not need a million people in and out of my house creating a mess where I could get an infection because of an open incision this project was supposed to be 10 days we are way past 10 days I would also like to see a invoice for all the items that were purchased for this project how much they cost where they came from and we would like a significant price adjustment because we are going to have to go to other people to have this project finished somewhere down the line and I would like a credit for the bill that I'm attaching to this message for the plumber we had to bring in to fix the leaks in the pipes that we said we didn't want from the start I was told they were fixed twice I sent a video and a picture to *** showing him the active leak that was still happening as of last week and he kept trying to tell me but ***** sent him pictures I don't care I'm telling you now it's leaking and you didn't do a thing about it so why should I feel comfortable trusting them to finish this job correctly after all the times they've been given? So to sum it up I want reimbursement for the bill for the plumber I want the vanities changed and I would like to see invoices for everything that was ordered for this project so that we can decide on an accurate price adjustment that would reflect what was paid for and what we didn't get that we still will not have I don't see why I should have to bend over backwards and let them start all over again for something they should have given me in the beginning I was thinking that ****** was the problem from the start however it's really *** the project manager quote unquote who is the one who is responsible for all of this he told me he has 47 projects he's handling at this time at the moment clearly that's way too many if he can't oversee one project and come see the project in person when the when the customer is complaining that there's so many things wrong tell me himself that he himself will show up the next day to make sure that everything is taken care of and still not show up I mean I've been promised everything under the Sun by this Man *** and he is not giving me is not pulled through on any of it so solely the responsibility should fall on him as the project manager he should be able to manage his projects and oversee them in a manner where the customers are happy and satisfied and he doesn't have to just yes them to death to make them stop questioning everything. I have every message that has ever been between *** and myself and proof of every time he told me yes it'll be taken care of yes it'll be taken care of yes I will be there myself I can show all of this and prove that he is never one step foot in my home. I hope you understand why I don't feel confident in him being able to come and complete this job

    Dear ****************,

We appreciate your feedback and would like to address the issues youve raised:
Communication and ******************* We apologize for any lack of communication and misunderstandings that have occurred. We are addressing this internally to ensure better coordination and responsiveness in the future.

Shower Niche, Safety Bar, and Frosted Glass: We apologize for the confusion regarding these items. Upon reviewing the scope of work, we have completed everything as per the contract except for the installation of the safety bars, which were delivered to your property on April 25th. We are more than happy to install them for you at your convenience. The shower niche and frosted glass were not specified in the scope of work; however, we installed frosted glass doors in one of the bathrooms as a courtesy.

Vanity and Amazon Orders: We regret the issues with the vanities and any confusion about our ordering process. We aim to provide quality products, and while some items are sourced through Amazon for convenience, they come from reputable manufacturers. Upon reviewing the scope of work, both bathroom vanities are listed as being the same with no specification of different sizes.

On-site Behavior and Work Schedule: We apologize for any unprofessional behavior by our team members. This does not reflect our standards. We will ensure that our team adheres to appropriate conduct during work hours.

Incomplete Bathroom and Delays: We understand how disruptive it is to have an incomplete bathroom while the other is being demolished. Both bathrooms have now been completed as per the scope of work, and we will ensure adherence to appropriate procedures and timelines in the future.

Cleanup and Leaks: We apologize for the mess caused during the project. Our team has verified that there are no leaks and that everything was cleaned.Outstanding Payment: We would like to address the matter of the outstanding payment. As of now, we have financed the entire project and have not received any payment. We kindly request that you review the attached contract and arrange for payment at your earliest convenience.

We emphasize that everything was done according to the scope of work outlined in the signed contract, which is attached for your review. We apologize for the inconveniences throughout the course of the project.

Please let us know a convenient time for us to install the safety bars, and we will make the necessary arrangements. We are committed to making this right and ensuring you are satisfied with the final results based on our signed agreement.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

She came to my house told me about the company teh 30 yrs warranty, the high energy efficient product that I will save 30% cooling energy. She said that they are working with a State program. Gave me a price that seem high but with the quality and warranty and the energy efficiant saving that I will make,Application for loan was done at the same time and accepted. Job was finally finalized in August, I was not present at that time and I had told the sale person that I will be away july august and september. When I cam back mid october, I saw a just vaerage job that any contactor could have done. Using the same material that any other roofer. I took pictures of some flaws and careless workmanship. Definetively not what I was expecting at the price I paid. I sent a letter to the comapny with pictures of things that I saw (defective) on 02/03/24. asking for a 40% refund of the ******. I have not received any phone call, any reply email. They are continuing to sale things to homeowner that they are not delivering. This company should not be in BBB and should not present themself as company ***** dby the state. It is pure and simple fraud.

I hope this letter finds you well. We are writing in response to your recent complaint regarding the roof replacement project completed by our team. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work through this matter together.
First and foremost, we apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced. We understand that you have a busy work schedule, which has made it challenging for us to discuss your concerns over the phone. On Friday, June 11, our representative, ********, conducted a site assessment to address the issues you raised.

Based on the site assessment and a thorough review of the contract signed by both parties, we have concluded that the work performed was in accordance with the agreed-upon scope of work. However, we acknowledge that there are some finishing details, such as the removal of stains on the pavers, that require attention.

To address these minor issues, we are offering a reimbursement of $500. Alternatively, we would be happy to send our team to complete these finishing touches to your satisfaction.
Regarding your claims about the fascia, soffit, and insulation, we have reviewed the contract and found the following:
The contract included the replacement of 30 feet of fascia. However, we actually replaced approximately 40 feet, exceeding the contracted amount.
The contract did not include the replacement of the entire fascia, soffit, or insulation. Consequently, our team did not perform any work or make changes related to these items beyond the specified 40 feet of fascia.

Additionally, we have attached a copy of the roof contract and the signed permit card confirming that the roof installation was completed properly and in accordance with building code standards.
We value your business and are committed to resolving this matter amicably.

Please let us know if you would prefer to accept the $500 reimbursement or have our team address the finishing details directly. We aim to ensure your satisfaction with our services and maintain a positive working relationship.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We look forward to your response.

In 9/23/22 Fl Green Development said they would fit a A/C with heat in my home and also do my floor in the bedroom. they wanted to charge me $13,550. They came out and said they had fitted a new unit but it did not work not heat came out and the would not turn down or work on auto. It also did not and would not pass a permit inspection. I complained and complained told them the unit was rubbish. Since they did not fit a working A/C unit I told them that I did not want them to do the floor in the bedroom. My husband died in October that is when they came like a thief in the night and got me to sign documents. In this document they wanted to charge my $11,950. for the unit that did not and for things they did not do for example $300 for duct inspection I don't have any ducts. They charged $1000 for a small slab of concrete and it goes on and on. I managed to get them to come back and change the A/C system but they told me that I had to pay for two A/C units and that is why it cost $11,950. At the beginning I had asked if this was a government program they told me yes. They are taking advantage of an elderly window. It is not a government program they are in partner with a finance company and are doing this to old people they just want to take my house. They came and had me sign documents saying they were a government program working in the area. They lied to me I need help. This should not be happening in America. I worked really hard for the little I have.

This is my second attempt to send a response.  ****************** received an HVAC she contracted for. ** Green allowed ****************** to cancel the new flooring.  Obviously ****************** has air conditioning ducts if she has an HVAC installed.  ***************** could not figure out the thermostat and technicians were sent out twice to assist.  When ****************** began threatening legal action the Company felt it would be more cost efficient to simply provide ***************** a new HVAC *********** permitted and installed a new unit and now ***************** does not want to pay.  This is terrible for the company that has paid all subcontractors suppliers and materialmen and have laid out all monies for ********************* projects.

The government program ***************** is likely referring to is the ************ program that provides financing to homeowners for energy efficient improvements.   BBB should note that ***************** contacted our company and we have gone over and beyond trying to make ***************** happy.  it appears that the only thing that will make ***************** happy is to get all the material supplies work and HVAC for free.

I am rejecting this response because: The business is not offering any solution. I am willing to pay for what I received but why should I pay for something that is not there or for this that you have quadrupled in price. You send people round to the old persons home to trick them into signing contracts and tell them that you are a government program. You take even more advantage of me when my husband died. I am not the only customer that is saying something in wrong so therefore, your company must be doing bad practices. Again I am willing to pay, all my life I have always payed my bills, but it is unfair for your company to take advantage of me. I have nothing to do with that first unit since it never worked. You do not have a passed permit for the first unit because it was rubbish and you could not produce any documentation for that first unit therefore, that unit has nothing to do with me. It never worked I was freezing cold in my home and you want me to pay for that.

    Sincerely,

    07/17/2023

Good afternoon.  Despite ********************** representations, the truth is ****************** is charged only with the work, labor, and materials received, as well as permitting costs, etc.  The issue with the first unit and now apparently the second is ****************** was not working the thermostat properly. The units have always been working and the manager himself personally went to the home to confirm.  The issue with the first unit was the permits.  ****************** had electrical work done in her home that required our company to rewire.  ****************** refused to let us do the rewire.  Therefore, at the time we could not get final inspection due to the wiring violation.  By the time we convinced ****************** to allow us to do the rewire the county changed their requirements from seer to seer 2 (1/1/2023).  Accordingly, even with the rewire the unit would not pass and we were required to give her an entirely new unit of a quality higher than she paid.  If anyone is the victim in this situation and has suffered damages, it is the company.  The final inspection on the second unit passed and was finalized.  Again, ****************** is attempting to cheat a small business owner by fabricating problems.

I hired this company to replace my roof and front door. Roof was done in a timely manner with all permits. The door was changed to a hurricane impact door, but it took 3 months and week of complaining to get the door installed and now it has been over a month and no inspection has been. I dont think they even asked for permits. I contact then again yesterday 11/02/22 about the inspection and the representative text me that I have to wait for inspection cuz I forced the to put the front door. The finance company paid then back in July 12,2022 when I signed contract. So I only asked to have the door installed that was paid for.

    Business response

    07/17/2023

This is being provided so BBB has information why there was not a response.  The company resolved this issue with the customer privately and did not know it was receiving messages on the portal.  The company explained to the customer as I am now to you, that the notice of commencement must be recorded before permitting can be completed.  The homeowner never filed a notice of commencement so the inspection could not be scheduled for the final and close out.  The NOC was finally filed and the inspection was finalized.  The delay in install was caused by the custom nature of the doors and windows, which required measuring, fabrication, etc.  Back when this was done the ports were clogged and the supply chain was very short.  As you can see from the exhibits, once the permit was applied for, through final inspection, was only 18 days.

Good afternoon.  I have tried on Multiple occasions to call **** but I receive no call back (the irony is not lost on me).  ** Green resolves all issues with all customers.  The owner of the company is not from ***************** and dealt directly with the customer.  I understand that he failed to respond on the website but the customer was serviced and her complaints addressed and resolved.  For instance ******************** simply needed the certificate from FPL.  It is unfortunate that a business that makes such good faith efforts to help everyone should suffer because they responded privately and not on this website.  Is there anything we can do? I added the final inspection

Good afternoon.  The customer's response did not contain any text.  I am willing to respond whenever she resubmits.  Thanks so much.
