Employees drinking, vaping, swearing at kids! STAY AWAY!I was extremely disappointed after hosting my daughter's 11th birthday party at ArtVilla Studio on Saturday May 6, 2023. I had such high expectations for the event but was extremely unhappy. There were three employees at our event. One was a middle-aged mad (*****, who I believe is the owner's (*********'s) husband. He was vaping and drinking multiple beers during the event in full view of 1the kids and, as a result, became verbally abusive shouting "Don't be a dumbass" and other horrible things at the kids. I was in complete shock that this can happen at an event for children. The kids were frightened and very upset. I fielded many phone clals from their concerned parents after the party. Also, ********* was not in control of the event at all but rather scrolling her cell phone throughout the 2.5 hour party. I had to approach her multiple times to ask her to begin the next activity. We paid (A LOT) for 25 kids to attend and they became bored and active (dancing, playing) because there was no flow or control. I will note there was a lovely teenage assistant that seemed to be the only person interested in the kids. ********* and ***** did nothing except yell and traumatize the kids. I believe this establishment is much better suited to adult events as they were not interested or equipped to host a party for kids.In the end, sadly, my daughter's birthday was ruined by *********'s lack of interest/control and *****'s absolutely horrific and abusive behavior. I am writing this review so other children will not be subjected to the trauma and abuse that our guests endured at ArtVilla Studio. ********* and ***** should be ashamed of themselves.ArtVilla Studio Response

Thank you for the feedback.
This is the answer to the customer:
First! A LOT OF people bring alcohol beverages for adults for the birthday parties and drink and socialize while kids painting and dancing! Its a private event and people use the studio the way they pleased!
Second of all this was the first time in our experience so ***** years old kids would behave so not respectfully! I DID GIVE THEM DIRECTIONS!! Many times!! Although! When I was giving them directions couple of them were giving me rude comments and made fun of what I was saying! They did not listen! They would not respond to me when I was talking to them! Obviously they did not even want to paint or follow ANY instructions! Their language was not appropriate for their age either! Few of them were so rude and disrespectful to me it was horrible! I tired my best to entertain them but there were a few girls who were leading the entire group to behave as they were 6 years olds.. actually even 6 years old behave better with respect to the property and to our workers.
Instructions and directions were given! I was aware of whatever was happening and help to each of them who asked for help even when I was answering the phone calls my messaging people back on my phone! My cell phone is our studio phone and we use it for work!!! And at all times the other worker was also assisting girls and whatever they needed while they were painting.
How would you like me to react when I saw about 8 girls splashing water all of the walls in the bathroom from the faucet !!!!! and painting the toilet with black paint? Standing on the toilet and ripping the sit off??? Its a damage to the Propery! These kids did not get any education how to behave in the facilities and respect !!! other peoples property!
Third! The party was going on as planned!
Tattoos
1 hour paint project. And, actually it was supposed to be 1.5 hours for ***************** but obviously they were not interested in it at all and did not want to listen to me or to follow any directions and were done with the project way earlier! They chose to run and pump paints on each other and onto our floors and paint the toilet with black paint instead! And splash water in studio and in the bathroom like they were in the pool! One girl poured water into the balloon and when I was giving them slime instructions she purposely aimed the balloon at me and splashed the water into my face and on my cloths!!!
Regarding using my studio work phone!! When we gave them paints and instructions I did check my emails and answered couple text messages to the clients as I do run this place and instead of answering the phone and talking to people on it during the party I text them back as its loud in studio and I do not want to disturb guests by talking on the phone. ***** was helping to bring paints and etc while I was answering my phone and she did a good job to accommodate girls, finding songs for them etc.. in your email you addressed that she was not helpful at all.. I am not sure what exactly you were expecting her to do??? Run with the girls and jump on the toilet? Or throwing slime on the ceiling??? To help them to do that???
Dance party - We did start the dance party twice they were more interested in ticktock on their phones! And it is understandable for their age! Thats why we usually do not even do dance party for ***** years olds as most of the time they like to spend time painting - its a PAINT PARTY. Again!! They did okay with the balloons and dance for a bit until they found more interesting to pop up all of the balloons and go on their phones to ticktock and do whatever else they wanted to and its absolutely fine as the party is also for the socializing! I understand that We cannot make them to dance! Or make them to paint! We did follow the structure of the party as it was planned!
Slime - 40 minutes.
And again! No respect to the studio and our property! Throwing slime on the ceiling!!! Spreading it on the walls and chairs!! We have done hundreds of slime party and never ever any kids would behave like that!
Last 45 minutes are given for you to use for food and cake and socialize. Most places do 1.5 hour parties. We do give more time so people could socialize.
You did not have to come to me and ask me what would be next as we were following the plan and I did describe you the steps of the party at the beginning of it. As soon as the girls started eating you came to me right away asking what would be next! While the last 45 minutes is for you to eat and have cake and get ready your stuff and to socialize! But ***** did another dance party at least she tried as they obviously were not interested! They are not 5-6 years old!
So, almost 2 hours of activities and 45 minutes for food and cake - as it was advertised and explained to you several times!
***** years old parties usually go differently as kids do respect me and do listen to instructions and do PAINT as its not a play ground or jumping place, or not a sport facility and its not a pool party!
They were creating absolutely dangerous situations by trying to stand in the chairs with wheels and trying to get on the tables! I wish it was NOT A DROP OFF party and parents would present and watch their kids! As TWO OF YOU did not do anything to stop them and educate them how to behave inside of the STUDIO!
I was dramatized!! So as all of us from kids coming to each of us and giving disrespectful comments .. they came to ***** many time and said stuff like I like your hair style.. I like your hairdo.. (basically making fun of him because he is bold) hey! Whats your name hah?
Hey! I want you to rate my dance and two of them were dancing in front of him showing absolutely not appropriate movements to a man who is 5 times older and pretty much bulling him!
When they were leaving they still kept giving him rude and not appropriate comments making fun of him!
They were talking back to me and to him when we asked them not to behave the way they did - no respect! Not appropriate! Making fun of us! You should be ashamed of yourself that you did not educate your child to behave appropriately with adults and respect any facility they go to and to respect other peoples property!
It took 3 of us to clean the studio and fix all the stuff after the party!ArtVilla Studio Response

Also!
***** is not an employee!
He was sitting in the office area and was not in the party area!
Your kids were told multiple times not to go to the office and they did not listen at all and kept running to the office for no reason beside to make comments about his hair style.. and yell! And scream and show their disrespect. While you DID NOT SAY A WORD to them and did not even try to stop their horrible behavior! All these girls were not interested in Paint party! I wish you took them to the play ground and let them have fun over there instead! As a mother you should know the interests of your children!
