The information this company charges you for can be had for free. Government institutions are required to provide this information at the request of the public. This company is scamming your hard earned money.You can see what a scam it is just by noticing all the 5 star reviews that are within a couple months of each other. Coincidence? I think not.

My name is ***************************** and I'm the Founder and CEO of SmartProcure. I wanted to personally respond to this review because as a business person for more than 30 years and a law enforcement officer for more than 20 years I still can be surprised by how people act.
This individual works for a highly regarded, amazing school district in *******. They are one of ******+ agencies that SmartProcure requests purchase order data from every few months. He is well aware that there is a cost for this data as he specifically is charging SmartProcure for access to this "free" data.
Multiplied by the other ****** agencies (some charge and some do not) plus the labor costs in requesting data from ****** agencies every few months, it's abundantly clear to anyone, that getting a subscription to SmartProcure instead of an individual requesting data themselves, is a much more cost effective option.
Also, why would a government official, using a government email address, write a review that a company is "scamming" other businesses for the work involved in gathering public record data every few months from ******+ government agencies - even if there was no actual cost for the data? I had a business prior to SmartProcure, where I sold to other government agencies. This information would have been invaluable to me, but as a single business I couldn't afford to get this information on my own for tens of thousands of agencies every quarter.
I also purchase on behalf of government agencies in my law enforcement role, and having access to this database, just as the other ****** procurement officers across the country who provide this data to SmartProcure can have access, makes me a more effective purchaser and saves my agency a tremendous amount of money.
I'm really proud of the men and women at SmartProcure that work tirelessly everyday, both obtaining this data and providing it back to both the government agencies that supply their individual data, as well as to vendors who sell into those government agencies. This transparency across the board makes the entire government marketplace more efficient and ultimately saves taxpayers a significant amount of money.
