The ABSOLUTE worst mortgage company ever. My mortgage was bought out by Freedom mortgage. In 3 months they have ruined my credit. When called all they do is lie and are extremely rude on the phone. **************** does not even rank one star. Stay far away from them

I feel it is necessary to share my extreme dissatisfaction with your company based on my recent experiences on February 5th and 6th, 2025. It is evident why this organization receives such poor reviews. Accessing my account has proven to be nearly impossible, hindering my ability to retrieve essential documentation. All I required was a PDF confirming my most recent payment for my loan officer, as I am in the process of purchasing a new home.After spending an hour on the phone with an unhelpful representative, who dismissed my account status due to an "assumed loan," (when I didn't have an assumed loan) I received no resolution. In contrast, *****, a representative I spoke with subsequently, demonstrated commendable dedication in her efforts to assist me. However, I encountered further complications when attempting to involve my loan officer in the process, as every solution presented required account access that I could not obtain.The encryption and access restrictions in place, while somewhat understandable for security reasons, create an unnecessarily convoluted process. It is frustrating that to receive essential documents, both I and my loan officer are forced to navigate such barriers. I urge anyone who uses this company to steer clear/find a new one, cause this one is not it!

Worst company ever! My mortgage was sold to them without my approval, they have terrible service and they do not mail me a 1098 tax document. Its impossible to work with them or obtain documents they are legally required to provide, they refuse to follow the law. My mortgage has since been removed from this company and Im so happy. Now I cannot file taxes due to missing 1098. Ive talked to and emailed for months with no results, usually its a foreign 3rd party call center. ***** this business at all costs.

There is no process in this company to adjust mortgage after pre-paying principal amount, duration of mortgage and no of installments to be paid appears unchanged.Could not understand why to pre-pay a principal then if neither the duration of the mortgage reduces nor the monthly installment?Customer service appears to be ill-informed and no other way to reach any sane person in the organization to ask or understand the issue.

***** G its been over 2 years and still unable to create an account after I assumed the mortgage from my mother. customer service is atrocious and based on reviews from others on this site this business is complete trash and hope everyone sees before using them! NEVER AGAIN! do not use freedom mortgage!

Freedom Mortgage has single handily ruined my credit score. Even after pulling phone calls and admitting they are at fault, they have posted false reports against me. I agree with ***** P's statement that they blatantly lie during phone calls. I have yet to be connected with a true manager that I can talk to that does not have an ounce of respect for their costumers. I will be so happy to close on this home this month.

I went to pay my January mortgage payment and saw I had late fees and still owing December mortgage. i have called 3 times because I paid my mortgage over the phone on December 5th, to be taken out of my account on the 6th, which it was. The gentleman I spoke to worked out an agreement with me since I could not pay the huge increase of $400 plus. I paid what I used to pay plus ****** for escrow. I called two people on December 30th. The first one said I owed the whole escrow amount in full. The second one said I have a late fee because I missed a payment in May of 2024. I printed out the transaction and I paid 12 payments in the year of 2024. I called back on the 2nd of January and the lady said I am late ***** and I was reported already to collections because apparently the day I spoke to the gentleman on December 5th and made a payment over the phone, the company mailed me a letter indicating my new mortgage payment. So apparently, my payment on the 5th was too low and I was supposed to know that how because the gentleman agreed to my payment over the phone. so they sent me to collections over $50 and wont fix it. Apparently the guy on the 5th did not apply my funds correctly, which is why I am showing a shortage. So their mistake has me in collections. Oh, and I could not pay my January mortgage until I pay that extra $50 that I somehow was supposed to know about. Despite me calling and speaking to someone and working out a deal for that month. So, they are sticking to their late payment and nobody will help me out. Oh and I paid my January mortgage payment today, the 2nd and I HAD to pay the extra ***** despite it not actually being late. There was no way around it. It still shows I owe December payment despite it actually being there. He just applied it to the wrong spot and they wont move it to my mortgage payment for me.

The companys HMDA violations occurred while Freedom Mortgage was subject to the 2019 law enforcement order. **** DO KOT TRUST THIS CROOKED, HIGHLY PREDATORY, INCOMPETENT AND ILLEGAL BUSINESS SCANDALS FOR YOUR FINANCIAL NEEDS.

They have received endorsed checks from me due to an ongoing claim with my home insurance on my house. They are refusing to disburse funds without explanation and have resulted in me taking out 3 separate loans to pay for on going work from my contractor. Then once my home has gotten to 90% of my own accord, they want to request an inspection after providing zero funds to get the home to this point in order to release the funds for completion. I have received radio silence from the staff regarding this and they refuse to reassign my case to a competent employee. I will be seeking restitution legally if this isn't resolved.
