    Since May 2022, the air conditioning (**) unit in my apartment has failed to cool my living room and bedroom in a manner to maintain a reasonable temperature, which adversely affects my lung-based medical condition. After bringing this issue up to the management at my independent living community, all solutions attempted have not remedied the situation. However, the company continues to charge me the full rental cost. A portable unit was placed in my living room, which did help to some extent, but failed to cool my bedroom, which severely impacts my ability to sleep. The company decided to move my bed to the living room, which not only impacts my ability to have my family visit, but also renders my bedroom useless. For all intensive purposes, I am paying for a two room apartment, but the ** problem has reduced that to the same living space as a studio. The company claims a part has been on order from ***** for months; however, that does not seem plausible given other solutions such as using unoccupied room ** unit parts to fix mine, etc. I am requesting the ** unit be immediately repaired/replaced and a refund of $500/month (~ cost differential due to loss of my bedroom) X 4 months = $2000 to my account.

    In response to your question, I have not been contacted by the company with regards to my resolution being sought in my complaint ID ********.  I have not received the refund on my rent as requested and significant intervention has been required to get the company (Highpoint at Cape Coral) to assess and attempt repairs to my Air Conditioning.  Thank you for reaching out on my behalf.  I have CCed my daughter, *********************** in my response to you.
