Beattie stole thousands of dollars from my family business, we are a cleaning company which we work as the last stage of the construction. We did the post-construction cleaning. We were the last stage, before their clients moved to their new home. The last job we did for them was the second week of july 2024. Only to know that days later, they will not answer the phones and close the office, owing us thousands of dollars for previous jobs. It was clear to Paul B. that he was in trouble and kept their vendors working for free until the very last day.

It is a shame that this has happened to hundreds of people in the **********, ********** area. So many people in this industry knew what was happening and yet no one spoke up. From pool companies to appliances companies, the City of **********, and the police, everyone knew that **** Beattie was misusing the money given to him for the contracted projects. Even *************** knew he wasn't paying his bills. He was essentially robbing ***** to pay **** "**** Beattie" and yet there we sat, in front of all these companies and his employees and no one did the "see something say something" right thing to do. They sat back hoping that the hundreds of thousands of dollars they were owed by ****, would trickle down to them when the next poor unsuspecting property owner dropped a $100,000 check in **** Beattie's hands. That's what this really comes down to. And the BBB issuing an AAA rating for Beattie development tells me that BBB does not represent the truth. There is zero explanation for this builder having such a high rating when lien after lien after liens were being placed upon the properties, he was the builder of record for. And I read today, his attorney, *************************, felt confident that when this was all done and the investigation was over, that it will conclude with a favorable resolution for **** Beattie and the company. Well, I can assure you ******************, it will not end with a favorable resolution for the hundreds of people who are out hundreds of thousands of dollars because this guy would rather buy his 18 year daughter a ***** than pay his bills. If the BBB doesn't change his rating from what was last week an AAA, and is now this week a C- to what should be an F---, then shame on you for perpetuating the fraud. **** Beattie should never work in this profession again and should completely lose his licensing. At this point, no one should trust him to deliver a cheeseburger from an uber app.

Would give zero stars, but that apparently is not an option. We contracted with Beattie Development Corporation in 2021 to construct 5 single family homes in Cape Coral. Each contract estimated 180 days for completion (because of other circumstances, construction did not begin until approximately January 2023). To date, only one of the homes has its Certificate of Occupancy. There was a serious lack of communication, and multiple instances when we were flat-out lied to. Paul Beattie never responded to our communication to him; his only direct communication with us was to demand more money - when the builds were already almost 12 months behind schedule. In our opinion, he should lose his contractor's license permanently.

Beattie Development was contracted to build our forever home. Once the actual process started it was one hot mess after another. All we received were excuses and false promises. After a horrible experience, we sold the house never even setting a foot in the doors as homeowners. Save your sanity and money and do not build or purchase a home that was built by Beattie Development. You will sleep better at night.

Builder did not finish our punch list. We have been unable to get the work on after 5 months.

I am a hurricane shutter subcontractor that was contacted by Beattie in early May 2024 to do work on 3 houses. I completed the work on all 3 houses within a few weeks, sent the final invoices on May 21 (totaling $2,619), and waited. I have not been paid as of August 2024. Every person I have called and emailed is no longer with the company. I have left messages with their answering service, but have not received a call back.I simply want the invoices paid.

As a real estate broker, my client built a house with Beattie Development. Even though the client paid all of the costs associated with the house including an additional $80,000, Beattie Development could not finish the pool. Paul B. said he did not have money and the client had to contract directly with the pool people to finish the job and get a CO. Paul B. has not paid my commissions (they are only a little over $7000) and the house still has repairs that the client still has to pay. We have filed suit against Paul B. and Beattie Develpment for their fraudulent and deceptive business practices.
