Buying a used car can be an adventure; to put it nicely, buying one online across the country without driving it first is a real challenge, to put it mildly. This was our first time buying a car online, and I have to say, buying from Mike at Das Auto Haus was a great experience. He is incredibly responsive at ALL times and did everything you could possibly ask for, including scheduling shipping at an amazing price (and got it from Florida to PA in ONE day!). He sent many short video clips of every part of the car, including CLEARLY showing one minor issue, worked with us regarding financing, and was up front about everything every step of the way. He didn't make promises that he couldn't keep, never tried to "sell/be pushy," was patient and understanding as my daughter worked out a few things with finances, and held the car for her without taking any money, even though we offered. Is the car perfect? What 20 year old, near classic car is, even with only 36,000 miles? Was it in great shape and as described? Yes, it absolutely was. The price was very fair too, as these cars (VW New Beetle) are in high demand (believe it or not). Mike is a truly nice person and very honest, and we were working dad-to-dad. He is EVERYTHING you could possibly ask for and more, online or in person. In all, this was the best buying experience I/we ever had at any dealer. And most importantly, my daughter is THRILLED with her car and proud of it. It is her dream come true (she searched all over the country for the better part of a year for the one she wanted AND could afford), and this is it, a dream come true for her. Ive had a repair on a vehicle that I bought and was promised to have been fixed since August. It is now March. I have been communicating with the dealership who said that they would fix it and and havent. I have text messages between the dealer and myself saying they would take care of it and they are refusing to fix a part that has been broken since before we purchased it. I have made numerous calls and they refuse to answer any calls or return messages.
