My son was recruited to the program for cybersecurity with them pairing up with NC State. He borrowed 18K to do the boot camp program with which he a 1wk to secure the loan. He has since completed the program. The instructors were fine and he felt supported. But the CompTIA+ initial exam voucher which is included as part of the program has been held up for 2mos now. No answers, no ETA, no reason. He cannot get a job in the field without him obtaining the CompTIA+ exam certificate and now that his loan is coming due he is not going to be able to pay it. This is a terrible business practice and just wrong to keep these students holding on like this. You knew when they were going to complete the program, why weren't vouchers ready and waiting for them. They keep changing who he needs to and can speak to. They make it by appointment only and schedule appointments 2wks out. This is ridiculous. How do they still have an A+ rating with such low customer reviews. This is fraud, the one thing these two students needs to actually complete their goal, you hold from them. Are you in cahoots with the loan holders as well, since he only had one choice for whom to borrow from? Are you hoping he defaults and you guys get a kick back? It's a shame that you pick students who are obviously desperate, non-traditional students and then just leave them in a worse situation than before they started.

I used their services for almost 4 months. I was initially told certain things about the online program they offer which were either not true or never came up during my time with them. When I voiced concerns about the program and different educational methods of learning, they did help me out, but later used that and other concerns I brought up as reasons for dismissal. I feel I was wrongfully dismissed. While the financial loss was minimal, I did feel they did not refund all of what I should have been given. I also lost the 4 months in trying to become qualified for a career. Two specific things I brought up with them were: 1) teaching style (lecturing and not taking students' questions), and 2) Using Kahoot as a part of class to teach students. These are two things that were brought to my attention for reasons of dismissal. I have tried to contact both them and the university associated to resolve this, but it appears this is acceptable to them as well. I don't think it should be. I am sharing my experiences in case others have similar issues. Educational institutions are the backbone of the work force. If we can't ensure students will be given the proper education and use methods that are productive to their success, we need to re-evaluate not only the business practices in this country but the needs of the people. They are piggybacking off of well known top institutions, but they are not delivering the same quality education. When this is brought up to them, the customer (in this case) is removed. Maybe this doesn't fit in a legal victory, but it does show misleading practices. Do we wait until someone is 8 months into a 10 month program to dismiss them? It would be nice if businesses would talk with customers and work towards solutions instead of creating more problems. I am out some money and time, someone else tomorrow might be out more. I hope this doesn't happen. Good luck, if you sign up with them.
