    The complaint is about a Residential General Contractor - Mikasa Solutions - who has failed to complete the job and have not provided a full refund of the advance payments made. The Contractor, gave in writing that the job would be completed in the week May 6th or a refund of $13,500 (full cost of the hurricane impact door and windows) would be provided. We however agreed that he would only need to pay us back $10,000 since he painted the exterior of the house, which is costed out at $3,500. He has so far, after multiple calls and text messages, only refunded $5,000. The contractor is very difficult to get a hold of and since the beginning of the project in Nov 2023, he has failed to keep his word on multiple occasions. He still owes us the balance of $5,000. We have sent him a demand letter through an attorney and he has responded.

    I am submitting the signed estimate from Mikasa Solutions for the work. I am also attaching a copy of the email from ******* committing to completing the work on May 6 or refunding the advance payments made toward the hurricane impact door and windows.

    Spoke to ***** the lawyer on Tuesday July 2nd. And he asked me to call him July 3rd. so, I will call him on July 3rd to resolve the matter.

    I am rejecting this response because the matter has not been resolved as yet. ***************** was going back to call my attorney *********************, *** on July 3rd about how he will refund the money that is owed. But he did not. My attorney will be calling him to follow up on the matter.

    I am rejecting this response because when I contacted ***** my lawyer, he told me that ******* has only called him once and emailed. There has been no arrangement made to recover the $5000 owed.
