On October 16, 2024, it was agreed that I would be selling a lot of vintage ****** collectibles to a resellers llc known as thefloridapickers. Amongst doing previous business with them with no previous issues, it was arranged for a trust to be given for the remaining payment of this lot to be paid by October 18, 2024. Only 48 hours within purchasing. After a few weeks, the money was never received and only arguments to have been made, upon research researching, I noticed that this had also happened to over a dozen of my friends peers in the community that I live in in which some are owed up to $11,000 with no pay. This practice has been going on for a while and many cases have been brought against them. They still do not pay the courts, even when losing their case. Looking to report this organization as the fraudulent activity that its been achieving is hurting a lot of families.

    Business response

    11/24/2024

Hello, my name is ******* ******. I am the ******** of The Florida Pickers LLC. I am responding to this dispute today because there are many false statements being said not only about me, but my company. We are a reselling auction channel on the Whatnot app and many more platforms where we sell items either we buy and then resell or that someone gives to us (consignment) to sell for them. The person complaining to you now about my business met us at the end of September where we did two deals resulting in us buying and paying for $1500.00 worth of merchandise from her. After she told us that she needed more money and showed us another lot to buy. After telling her we spent as much as we could on merchandise for the time being I offered her a consignment deal. She agreed and gave us her merchandise without payment. There was no contract in place just the trust from the both of us.

After receiving the lot of items it was determined that much of it couldnt be directly sold on our app without authentication to be determined, mixed with the market conditions at time of sale, we determined it would take more time to get these items sold.

since the beginning of this deal, she has received $1503.00 additional in payments from my business. Our communication stopped recently when she began to spread lies about my business on ********, which we have proof for but cannot post without a lot of her information being included. (Can send upon request.) She also began to seek out people we have had some issues with within our business to get people angrier at the state of our business. She began to lie so much she has created much more problems for us with people we have had issues with but also people we never had any issues with. These lies are becoming very damaging to our business. She posted these lies in a public ************** in which they were removed once our receipts to her were posted. This is when the ESTALKING and public/private harassment began. Making public derogatory comments about my children, threatening myself and my wife with violence, false police reports. This woman has gone off the deep end. She has been banned from a popular ******* channel where the woman on the channel is biased, discussed our situation based on this persons ******** posts, showed the receipts and realized this woman is continuously lying about our business. Now harassing this ******* channel person, she and her boyfriend have been blocked. We have received harassment from this person in the form of mail to our home, posts comments and messages on the ******** app, the whatnot app, the Instagram app, the Reddit app, the district app (where all of her accounts were banned), the ******* app and pretty much anywhere she can begin to harass us. We have sold almost ****** items in the community and have a 4.9 star rating out of 5 with over ****** positive reviews and many people that will attest to our business. We have had a few people file lawsuits against us, one case was dismissed, two were lost and over $1600.00 in payments have been sent to those folks. The final lawsuit has recently had a settlement agreement put in place. None of the people we have done business with have responded the way this person has.

most recently this person and her boyfriend have messaged many of our customers on whatnot and Instagram telling them lies and not to shop with us, since this has begun our sales have dropped off by $12,000.00 this month. We plan on taking this to court to fight the slander and damage done to our business. That mixed with 200 plus blocked phone calls to my number is the result in why this person and I are no longer in communication. Thank you for your time and I hope that with anything you need me to send you this can be closed quickly. We have receipts, screen shots etc to provide. We believe the damage done by this person far exceeds the balance of the consignment deal and we plan to fight this in court. She is the only person that we have had problems with in our business that we are fighting back. The business had a downfall from 2022 to 2023 being down $100,000.00 and with this witch **** campaign its going down even further. The economy is bad but when someone is this aggressive with the harassment it can take a toll on anyone ! Thanks for your time.

    Complaint: 22552461

I am rejecting this response because:
On October 14th of 2024, a what seemed to be a normal ******** marketplace sale took place, similar to the two sales that occurred between myself and them previously a month prior. Upon meeting in a public place, my personal ****** lot of  merchandise consisting of pins, jerseys, loungelfy bags and popcorn buckets were examined by thefloridapickers (******* ****** specifically as his wife and kids sat in their vehicle) and a deal of 3500 dollars  was made. With myself having done previous business before with thefloridapickers, ******* had mentioned to myself that the funds he made from reselling my last lot within a month prior went very well and should be transferred into his account the next day if I would be patient and kind enough to await until then for remaining payment on the items. ******* went ahead to talk about how I could trust him, and mentioned how he always paid in full before and never had an issue until now and that he just needed the extra time, in which I responded with a request for 200 dollars up front and the rest to be sent within the next 48 hours ( which would have been by October 16th of 2024 ). Even though he had requested that I had to wait until  the next day for the  payment to be made, it was given to them until the 16th of October to pay the remaining 3300 dollars,  in which he happily agreed.
On October 17th of 2024, a text from myself was sent out to them as no payment was sent over as agreed upon. In response, therefourth from them consisted of excuses in which the payments would be pushed back further and further. On October 18th of 2024, 500 dollars was sent over for some of the ****** merch; this payment did not fulfill its balance.
After waiting kindly and patiently for a few more days, I took it upon myself to send another text inquiry on October 22nd of 2024 for the full payment in which they responded just shrugging off my worry behind the situation, and mentioned a payment to be sent again soon. On October 23rd of 2024, another payment of ********************************************************************************************************************************** on purpose. At this point, a balance being owed of 2300 dollars was due and it consistent of us arguing going back and fourth on both text, reddit and the comment sections. During this time in which ******* finally sent a payment but only for  100 dollars and messaged me saying that 100 more dollars would be sent everyday until the balance is paid, along with a lot of other negative comments about my living situation. The thefloridapickers LLC also took it upon himself to start quoting the payments as consignment payments, but in which no direction was that process communicated between us and the word was randomly made up to the situation.
It was not until November 5th of 2024, weeks after hearing excuses and being disrespected from thefloridapickers towards both myself and even my significant other, a decision was made to post in our community ****** Trading pages about the scam that was occurring in our community. Everything posted contains facts of the manner and is to solely aware others from being scammed, misinterpreted and bullied from what is supposed to be a trusting source. After posting on ******** the awareness of the situation happening to me, about a dozen individuals (some in which I am friends with actually) came forward messaging me about their horror story with thefloridapickers and how they have never posted before because he threatens them before they get to. These individuals similar to my situation with them have been bullied into aggressive conversations in regards to receiving payments for their merchandise that thefloridapickers purchased. Some knew of a consignment deal as the value was over ****** dollars,(in which they have not received respected payments either) others were simply gullible and trustworthy like I was. With a few individuals already going to court, ******* and ****** feel that the worst that can happen is they pay back the loan they basically scammed people out of years later. This business practice has hurt a good bit of people so far and it will only continue to happen.
Attached I have dates aligned with payments that should be made, as well as the dated postage for the post created and what it contains. Along with a few messages to describe the environment this business opens up to their clients.

    Sincerely,
    ******** ********
