October 16, 2024 is the date they requested the 1 st payment.Ive paid a total of $3500.They were hired to put in a skylight and fix a deck and roof that were leaking. The roof was never properly fixed. I have been trying to get them to come back since June 2024. The skylight was never properly fixed either. I have sent photos , videos and gone to the office and have had only one response, which was after the hurricane. most likely from an automated system. I reached out to the owner, ***. She responded to that email ( on the 27 th of September) and said we would discuss on Monday. It been 3 weeks. I have photos ,videos , emails and messages that I have sent to them over the past four months or so and have not gotten anything back. I was going to go to the courthouse this week and I was told I should try the Better Business Bureau first. There is a pipe they put back after replacing the fascia boards that is the ac run overflow. They did not properly pull the pipe through so when it backs up that water, all goes into the fascia of which they replaced, and has rotted it out. I have video and photos of that also . I would personally like to get my money back and have a proper roofer fix it but if that isnt an option, at least they can fix what I have paid for.

    *****,

There is no warranty because is an outstanding balance for $750.

Skylight was replaced properly.  This was explained to you in detail. When the previous roofer and owner covered the previously existing skylight they cut the drywall below the neckline to accommodate the wood they covered it with. You did not understand this before and I GENEROUSLY offered to have the interior repaired which you did not ever schedule. In no way is my responsibility as the damage was not done by my company and even had it been- it is an access issue. My trade is roofing not drywall.

The pipe on the wall that goes from second floor to first floor to second floor was sealed at deck , pitch pan and wall and a s matter of fact even replaced your conduit box which was not charged to you nor is that my responsibility. Again walls and pipes are  not our trade. ROOFING is responsible only where the pipe enters the deck and  pitch pan.

We explained in detail and repeatedly there is an issue on your neighbors side which we could not touch. We have many photos to demonstrate how yoru flashing was cleaned and sealed and the drywall was completely dry on your side of the adjoining wall. We completely sealed your unit from flashing ot top of wall as far as can without getting into neighbors property. INCLUDING THE **** to go above and beyond for you.

As far as the ac drain line goes it naturally sits at that level. It can sit flush with soffit and drip out. Since it  is leaking to cause damage this is an HVAC issue, again not a ROOFING TRADE issue.

The chemlink that fell out was also placed as a preventative measure to go above and beyond however not uncharged or part of rouging responsibility.

It is evident that there are other issues going on with your property. My team worked extremely hard above and beyond on this property. You have not followed our recommendations nor paid the contract in full therefore I reject this false defamatory claim against my company and personal reputation.

No money will be refunded and $750 remains due. Once that is paid we can return.

***, the owner of Roofing ***** ,never reached out to me and said there was a $750 balance and that was why she wasnt returning my texts or calls. Knowing that there was money owed and still needing work to be done. I did not pay the remaining balance. Never when installing the facia boards was, I told that they do not replace the drain from the ** where it  was originally. I have had two other roofers come out since and there was no issues with the other peoples roofs. It is on my side. The same problem exists that it did when they started. The only differences is I have a skylight. The gentleman never returned my phone call when I came back from my moms  Funeral in December. Unfortunately There was not enough room to put the Communication texts  with him

I reject this as the entire scope of the contract was fulfilled. Payment was due at time of repair and took over a month to pay partial balance. The offer to install trim to the interior shaft of the skylight was a courtesy. It is not part of the scope. In addition, it is not the responsibility of anyone but the homeowner to schedule with he drywaller and to be aware to pay the balance owed. The last invoice was 2250 and ********************************************************** full. I have emailed the homeowner and once this bill is paid in full the warranty will go into effect and any defects related to the original scope will be addressed. I am not a licensed plumber therefore I cannot adjust the drain line. However, it sits flush with the soffit and in no way should be leaking as much as it is. If the homeowner chooses not to pay the balance, there is no warranty owed and the account will be sent to collections.

I am rejecting this response because:
On March 26 th of this year I reached out to you regarding the leaking and sent photos. You stated you would come look at it, but it was most likely from the neighbors. Both sides were doing the same thing. You never came out. June 13 I sent photos again of water. You did not respond .August 28 th I sent you another message with photos and what was going on again ,no response.. every person that *** spoke to regarding work being done at the house says do not pay until its finished. With the lack of communication on your end, especially when showing photos of damage that is current after the work that you came out to fix. If there was any issue with the ac run off pipe or the metal along the wall you should have stated that you were uncomfortable and not taken the job. I am left with the same issue in the same locations that you claimed you fixed only now the ac runoff has nowhere to drain properly as it was not pulled through and has rotated the wood The only non issue is the skylight.

    Sincerely,
