A 2-1/2 hour job turned into a 3-day fiasco ***** November 2023.The personnel sent out to do the job did not know what he was doing. My re-hab personnel had to hold his hand and direct him on how to do things the RIGHT way. They quoted the job, yet came out with the wrong parts and then tried to tell me the 20-gallons water tank was obsolete. I found a 20-gallons tank at *********** Then I had to go with some supervisor to pick up the tank in order for the original personnel sent out could do the ***** and we could turn on the water. Once the tank was installed the personnel sent to do the job was told by my re-habber to let the water fill slowly so undue pressure does not unseat the unions. He turned the water on full blast and at least one pipe connection burst. Luckily, the valves shut off. Now he had to re-do the copper pipe connections. Then at 6:30-PM he hands me a bill for $1887.99, which was the quoted price for a 2-1/2 hour job. But now I had my own time and labor, along with my re-habber's time and labor to account for and told him to get his boss on the phone. It was too late in the day. I called the next day and was told the owner would not be back until Monday. Then ******************** calls the next week and leaves a message I now owe $2715.96, but they'd cut the bill to $2388.00.I called back and told them to send an itemized bill. The bill received had ONE valve listed at $599.98, no mention of my time, nor my re-habbers time & labor [the guy who actually made the job happen]. Then add to the misery of all this one of the copper lines just fell out of its coupling. last week. There was not one bead of of anything in the coupling to hold it together. I called, ******************** dispatch would call right away. No call to date. Unable to wait, I had my re-habber sweat the joint correctly and double-check the rest of the piping. I am willing to pay this Plumbing Experts outfit $850.00; derived from -my time/re-habbers time&labor and a union BA's recommendation.

Their workers damaged our condo elevator and another resident witnessed it and took pictures! Our condo association called *********************************** and they fixed the damages! I contracted with them to replace underground pipes. They quoted me a price at $9600. They performed the service. I paid in full. They later sent me an invoice for over $1000. I called in to inquire. They told me it must have been a mistake because my account says paid in full. I later get additional letters and a call saying that there were additional cost not in the initial contract. They then put a contractor lein and a delinquent payment on my credit report. This should be illegal anywhere in *****************.

    Business response

The Plumbing Experts entered into written Plumbing Contract-signed by ********************* plumbing work was completed and passed all Plumbing Inspections.

The Contract clearly states (in paragraph #**) that *********************** would reimburse Plumbing Experts for all permit costs that Plumbing Experts paid to obtain the plumbing permit. Both parties agreed to this both orally and in writing- these plumbing permit related costs were to be invoiced to *********************** at the end of the job because Plumbing Experts would not know all the costs until they received all the paid invoices.

After all the paid invoices were received - at end of job - Plumbing Experts prepared an invoice and sent an invoice with paid receipts showing all of the permit costs to **************. By the way, Plumbing Experts only invoiced for our actual paid costs as outlined in the Contract. The written Contract is very clear that permit costs will be billed at the end of the job - after all plumbers inspections had passed inspection.

************** refused to pay for the permit costs - which contradicts the written Contract. He is violating his own written promise.

Mr. ****** BBB complaint is baseless and is wrong.Plumbing Experts filed a Contractors Lien on his house for the unpaid permit expensesper paragraph #** of the Plumbing Contract. as is permitted by ******* Construction Law.

Plumbing Experts will release the Lien when the Lien is paid for and satisfied..*******************

An outreach was made to this company in regards to an estimate to have the outer tubes replaced. The representative my daughter spoke to advised that there is a fee of $98 for them to show up and then the plumber will provide the cost of the service being needed, if we agree then the $98 are waived. The plumber who came out to my home was ************************* he provided a document to me advising to sign the document and he will be right back. The document only displayed the amount of $98 for service call charge which is what was agreed on and then possible minor repair cost of $158. **** proceeded to clear the line with a 20ft of cable and came back and advised the total will be $360.00. The cost had to be paid in full because a service was done even though I was not advised of the cost. Once **** left, my daughter called back and advised of what had occurred the same representative from before advised that he was not told of the estimate and that if a service is done we need to pay. The representative also advised he has had prior complaints regarding the plumbers not advising customers of the cost prior to doing service. The representative stated he cannot do anything since it was already done and he cannot go with he said she said. I believe if several people have complained about the same issue then the issue is the company not the customers.

I have met with the tech and he waived our service call of $98.00 since he went ahead and cleared the stoppage that was blocking the sewer lines to the house.

Plumbing Experts will refund an additional 20% of invoice ****** - this is in addition to the 10% discount given already due to the 10% coupon the customer presented to the technician.

Please let me know if this offer of an additional refund of 20% is accepted....

In addition to the additional 20% discount that we offered, and was rejected by our customer - we had already issued a 10% discount that is noted and subtracted on Invoice 200275.
So in fact - we are now at a total 30% discount.....I will now offer another 10% discount so the total discount offered today is a Total of 40%...hope this helps....*******************
