    ****** is the biggest scammers. I called fir an appt. They said they accept my insurance. When I got there I was told they do not accept my insurance. And all the ads on TV does not apply to me, and they have some worthless Techs on screen, who cannot sign off on my prescription. They wanted me to come back and see an Optometrist, pay additional money at which time I will be able to obtain a prescription. It's more like talking to a robot. I had to pay $70 for a stupid eye exam that was conducted by a technician more like a robot.

    Total scam! Extremely misleading advertising about cost, products, and exam. There was not even a live human doctor in the room, they were on a video screen. I had to walk out without glasses and payed ***** for an exam that was not accurate. I need to be able to read a computer screen and phone not read something across the room (i can see well enough). I was told I would need multi-focal lenses that are at a cost in addition to frames. I could have gotten a free exam with my insurance at a normal ophthalmologist then paid for glasses as I normally do. I went to Stanton because of what they advertised (exam and 2 pairs of glasses for a low price). This place should not be in business. How can it be legal to rip people off while providing inaccurate service and products? I am shocked, disgusted, and livid.

    I went to the ************* store and they told me on the phone that they take my insurance. Once there I was charged ****** for frames because apparently they don't take my insurance. Also the girl who helped me name is ******* was very rude and threw away my old glasses. I wanted those glasses. Stanton optical is scamming to get people in the door, then overcharging people.

    Went in for new glasses because my old prescription works just fine I just need new glasses. I was told I needed a new eye exam even though my old one works just fine. So I went along with all of it because it was free. Supposedly my eyes got worse according to them but I can still see perfect out my other ones. Got my new glasses and it was like wearing fun house glasses everything looked ovaled and wierd. Was told I need to redo the exam and do it all over again and wait another 2 weeks when all I want is my old prescription in new glasses. I said just cancel the order I no longer want to do business here. Upon getting the refund I was charged $70 for an eye exam I didnt even want but was told order to get new glasses I needed to do the exam. Ah excuse me what? The exam is free and I never wanted the exam in the first place which you didnt even get right. So Im paying for an exam I didnt want that you didnt get right. I was told a manager would be calling me to address the issue with the exam. Big shocker no ones called in a few days now. Dont know why Im surprised. This place didnt get my stuff right and in order to get glasses told me I needed an exam even though my old ones work perfectly. I should have known better because after a year their lens started peeling from the outside and the sunglasses lenses are starting to cloud but I figured Id give em another go since it went fine last time. Do not go here they have employees doing the eye exams who probably arent certified to do them. Then if they mess up and you want your money back they charge you for the unlicensed exam that wasnt even right. Scam!!! Scam!!! Scam!!! Scam!!!!

    They took my elderly father's money and gave him nothing. Not even a prescription. When we left he said he would email it to me and never did. Then they said it was in the contract that he would have to pay even if they could not provide a prescription.

    Terrible. I made an appointment, and when it was time for my examination, it was done by remote video. After thirty minutes of waiting after the bogus exam, I was told I needed to go to an optometrist to dilate my eye and give me a prescription. I had to pay the full amount with no prescription or glasses. They told me I had so many days to do this for them to honor the free glasses that looked as cheap as the Dollar Store magnifying glasses. I will never trust a company like this again. EP

    **Negative Review for Staten Optical** I had a truly disappointing and humiliating experience at Staten Optical. After having to reschedule my appointment a couple of times, I finally made it in, only to be told they were unable to assist me because I am blind in one eye. They admitted they did not know how to accommodate someone with my condition. This lack of knowledge and preparedness is completely unacceptable for a business in the field of eye care. Being turned away in this way was not only frustrating but deeply embarrassing. It's disheartening to see such a lack of inclusivity and professionalism. If you have unique eye care needs, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for more knowledgeable and compassionate care. This experience was a ***** reminder that not all providers are equipped to handle patients with diverse conditions.

    Stanton ***** $ for 2 pairs of glasses with a free eye exam is what they offer but that is not at all what you get....false advertising blatantly...great service ty ******* But false advertising is not good. My 1 pair with eye exam total cost 1*****! 100$ more than advertised minus 1 pair..pretty bad but no choice I need to see.

    Discriminatory and Deceptive Practices at ********* office. If I could give this location 0 stars I would. I purchased a pair of glasses at the *********, *********** location on 11/8/2024 with a promise date of 11/22/2024. The technician that assisted me, ******* did not inform me that they did not have the selection of transition colors that my Eye Doctor has. I took 2 pairs of previous glasses to show what I wanted which was the Amethyst color. I clearly stated that I wanted the new Gen * color Ruby with photochromic technology. I had watched a video on ******* showing the color transformation (*******************************************) . *he processed my order with a Rose **** and I was told that this was the new transition color Ruby. The frames arrived on 11/23/2024; I was not notified. I called and was told that the glasses were ready and I picked them up on 11/24/2024. I advised the on duty attendant that the glasses were incorrect and that I expected transitions lenses not tinted sunglasses. I was told to call back on Monday because the computer was down. I called back on 11/25/2024 and advised that the lenses are unacceptable and that I need the lens to be remade. I was advised that I would have to pay and additional $50.00 which I did and was advised that the new lenses would arrive within 10 days and they would remove the lenses from the frame. The expected delivery date was 12/9/2024. Today is 12/17/2024 . I check the status daily. This location has no oversight. I was told that the store manager had back surgery and they did not want to call and bother her with this issue. I called the corporate complaint number said this was the store error and that complaint was documented and forwarded to the "higher- ***** I have never been contacted. After contacting corporate 4 weeks into the delay, my replacement lenses which are grey because they never had access to the Gen * color Ruby has never arrived. This is retaliation for complaining.

    I am very disappointed with my recent experience at Stanton Optical. The commercial advertises "two pairs of glasses for the price of one," but that was not my experience. Despite having insurance, I ended up paying nearly $300 for just one pair of ********** make matters worse, the quality of the glasses has been extremely disappointing. Within a week, the plastic protector near the nose fell off on the left side, and now, just three weeks later, the same issue has occurred on the right side.I expected much better durability and quality, especially given the cost. Unfortunately, this experience has left me feeling frustrated and unsatisfied. I would not recommend Stanton Optical based on my experience.
