My home was flooded on 9/26/24 due to Hurrican ******. I filed a claim with ****** *************** on 9/27/24 and my home was inspected by a representative of Colonial Claims, ******** Claims Adjusting Contractor on 10/2/24. I was told that the adjuster would be providing a final report within 6 to 8 weeks. I have been asked by that adjuster for several documents and estimates that he said he needed to complete his estimate. I have provided this information and his report is still not complete and it has been 9 weeks since he inspected by ***** sf home. When I call Colonial Claims to get a status update they will only direct me to the Adjuster and will not allow me to speak to the Examiner or a Supervisor/Manager with the Colonial. The only infromation they will provide is that the Adjusters have a hard deadline of 12/28/24 to file their reports. This would be 90 days after the event took place. I spoke with the *********** office and they stated that the *************** is a Federal program regulated by ****, however, Florida requires Homeowner Insurers to pay out a claim within 60 days being reported. Based on the 90 day deadline and the 2 to 3 week processing time ****** needs to issue a payment, I have the potential of being out of my home for at least 110 days before recieving any relief to begin repairing my home. This is unacceptable with no apparent accountability to anyone in the process especially given that it is a Federal program. I called FEMA at 3:30 PM EST and recieved a recording that I called out of normal business hours that were 8 AM to 8 PM EST. I know I am not the only experiencing this situation and I am asking that someone that has the ability to reach a person who can begin to hold these insurers and adjusters to some form of accountability become involved in mine and so many others' claims please. Thank you!!

I filed a flood claim through ****** Flood which I have also submitted a BBB claim with too. ****** contracted Colonial Claims to process my flood claim back on 9/27 and now 7 weeks later the company is not completing the final estimate to complete my claim. Im requesting the claim to be completed as I am not able to live in the home and cannot pay contractors for repair. *** contacted ****** that claims they cannot contact a company they contracted and Colonial keeps giving me the run around that they will process my claim.
