I was checking my credit score/report and noticed a collection from Central Fiscal Services. I called the company *************) and spoke to ****** who informed me they are collecting a debt on behalf of this company for a magazine subscription from ********************************************* ****. I HATE magazines and would never subscribe for one. Also I have excellent credit (750+) and this collection has caused my score to drop 100 points. When I inquired to ****** for more information, he could not give me any written documentation, rather, he offered for me to pay 50% of the $997 debt to clear the debt. Of course I refused because I have never purchased a magazine subscription. **************** the subscription would have been through Credit Subscription ********** for $49.95/month for 24 months. When I googled this company I received several sites indicating this company is a scam. I should also make note I have NEVER received anything in writing from Credit Subscription Center or Central Fiscal Services regarding this matter. I would like to dispute this collection on my credit report and have it removed.

Today I was contacted by Central Fiscal Services, a collections agency, on behalf of Subscription Center Inc. a magazine subscription service. They are claiming that I owe $350 towards unpaid services and early termination fees. They claim that the initial payment was made on 1/18/2017 on a ******** card of mine ending in 8156. This issue, which I considered to be a part of a magazine subscription scam addressed by the *** in October of 2020, actually started for me in 2014. I was contacted as part of a telemarketer sweepstakes offer to receive a free ****** gift card, if I signed up for a magazine subscription. At first I agreed, and told them what magazines I was interested in, but by the end of the call I had a change of heart and asked to cancel the order and not proceed with any payments. The phone operator said that my card wasn’t processed and not to worry. Shortly after I started receiving magazines in the mail, many of which weren’t brands I didn't even want. But I did receive multiple bulk charges over the course of a year or so. I made multiple attempts to cancel the service, and I was told I was completely removed from their system. Again, I received more lump sum charges on my card. I called again, and again, and at least three times I was told that I was completely removed from their system and would not be billed. Eventually I had to ask my credit card company to issue a stop payment. I believe that was in 2015, however after consulting with the people at ******** card, they were unable to find any history of this, which confused me. However it is possible that it was in 2014, which extends beyond their seven year history. What I do know, is that this whole issue started and ended before the 2017 date. And now they are claiming that I made payments in 2017 on my **** card, and with statements available, I can prove that is not true.
