Leaving our home in ******* and to ensure a safe trip back to ********, we had our 2017 Genesis G-80 serviced for the *****-mile trip home. We brought our car into the service department of Fort Myers Genesis,*******************************************************************************. on Thursday April 25, 2024. The car was inspected and we were told the transmission in our car needed to be replaced. We approved the work and on May 9, 2024 the Genesis Dealer of Fort Myers service department presented our car as fully repaired and available to drive back to ********. The car was driven for 2 days and ***** miles, and we returned to our Illinois residence on Sunday, May 12, 2024.On Friday, May 17, 2024 an alarm and display of engine is overheating occurred. I checked the engine and found no coolant in the engine. I had the car towed to *************** ******* in **********, ** to determine what the problem was. The service department performed a diagnostic check and found both radiator hoses leaking coolant which caused the engine to lose coolant and overheat. The *************** service advisor, ****, said that to replace the transmission the engine would have had to of been removed and the radiator hoses disconnected and then reconnected during the transmission change process. **** spoke with the Genesis of Fort Myers service department and was told that the engine overheating problem was not their fault and refused any responsibility. Currently we have spent $200.00 for the *************** diagnostic check, $90.00 for a two-day Hertz car rental and $15.00 for an Uber to get to the car rental. The Radiator hoses were replaced on 6/6/2024 Labor $411.04 Parts $55.25 The total repair so far is $771.29. I spoke with the General Manager of Genesis and **************** he agreed to pay part of the repairs only if I signed a release form for any subsequence problems due to the engine overheating. Since the delivery, I have faced multiple problems with the vehicle that have not been adequately resolved. The problems I have experienced include:Scratches on the hood, which became more noticeable when the dealer tried to fix them using a polishing machine, leaving the paint with a scratched appearance, as if very fine sandpaper had been used.Stains on the chrome parts of the vehicle. From conversations I had with Genesis customer service employees in Fort ********************, they recognize this deficiency with Florida water and offer replacements under warranty, which they did, but the parts were left with dents when reinstalled. This means the problem has not been resolved.A loud noise in the sunroof when the vehicle reaches speeds between 60 and 80 miles per hour. I am attaching videos that I reported to the service manager, *************************, and although I provided evidence of this problem, it was not resolved.Yesterday, June 6, after writing to the Dealer and ***************** manager and seeing that I received no response, I visited the dealership again to seek a definitive solution. The only option they offered me was a new vehicle with 0 miles, but with unacceptable financial conditions: an initial payment of $2000, an increase in my monthly payment from $1030 to $1050, and an extension of the term to 72 months, currently at 74 months due to the payments already made. In short, they are selling me a new vehicle to solve their problem. This solution does not reflect the dealer's responsibility to resolve the problems with the current vehicle without imposing additional financial conditions on **** request the intervention of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to ensure that the dealer offers a fair and adequate solution. This situation is unsustainable and I need an immediate response to resolve these problems without additional costs to me.?? Sources

Charged more for car than sticker price along with excessive fees, lowered agreed upon trade value. Charged more sales tax. Took 9 days to receive paperwork so we could review amounts charged. Called on 4 different occasions and they couldn't agree to the correct numbers. Very deceptive. Wrote unfavorable review to Genesis now the dealer will not talk to us. They have a very confusing way of presenting the numbers and charges. We were quoted 2.9 % financing and they charged us 6.9. We have a high credit score. Very deceptive and misleading.

I brought my 2021 Genesis in because of a check engine light my car was diagnosed as it needed a part ordered referring to the emissions sensor. Twice I was back saying it was the wrong part. This car is still under factory warranty and I was told that the repair was covered under warranty. Also I was told the car is perfectly safe to drive while the parts were being ordered. Next they tell me that they think I may have had rodent damage to a wiring harness and the cost is 13 thousand dollars and ask what my deductible is for my insurance. I contacted my insurance and they say they will cover the harness but now the dealer says no there are two harnesses and both are bad and need replacing and insurance will only cover one and Im responsible to pay 4750 dollars plus tax. I contacted my insurance company to tell them about the difference and they told me I could take my car to one of their preferred dealers if I would like and I agreed because Im not trusting this dealership one bit. Now I call the dealer to tell them Id like to pick up my car and just pay for the diagnostic and they are refusing to put my car back to the original running condition as I brought it in thats all Im asking
