  We purchased $13,000 of Cortec flooring from Haddinger Flooring in ************* *******. We were told that the flooring was pet, child, and waterproof, and it included a lifetime warranty. After 8 months, we started noticing half dollar size spots all over the floor. We immediately contacted ********* and I kept getting the run around about someone following up with me for around 6 weeks. After 6 weeks; the retailer and the cortec distributor came to our home and the distributor attempted to clean the spots, which at that point the spots got much larger increasing 4x. He questioned what I had cleaned the floors with. I had cleaned the floor with water after initial installation and then Bona laminate, tile cleaner 6-8 times (which online says is a great choice for LVT). Distributior says it looks like what we used caused a build up. He also proceeds to tell us that bona has been known to cause issues on cortec flooring (which if that is the case, why would the retailer not disseminate the critically important information of what is best to clean and what to avoid??) The distributor suggests a professional cleaning, and the film would be removed. We took the advice, and the spots got even larger! Another interesting fact, is that before the professional cleaner came, we moved our sofas and the 9x13 area rug and discovered spots all under the rug as well. This area under the furniture and rug was vacuumed and cleaned with water after installation and never cleaner again. The professional cleaner said that while he is not an inspector, he does see these floors on a regular basis and this most definitely appears to be a defective product. The professional cleaning yielded even larger growth of the spots.I sent these pictures to the store. The store says she will get back with me.After weekly attempted calls to the store for 2 months, we made an appearance, ****** says they are trying to determine if the store or manufacturer is paying.In the end, they deny claim. AWFUL
