            I was told about gulf coast coin a year or so ago that they were honest and great to deal with from my mother in law , I've made multiple purchases at the store , as well as auction . 3 days ago I took a 1878 cc Morgan at very least ms 62 , 1882 S ms 63 at very least but proof like possibly dmpl , I wasn't selling just wanted opinion on grade , they offered $150 for cc , $60 for 82 ... Yesterday I took my 45 gram 10kt gold 24" Cuban link to sell and get another around 100 grams , they offered me $600 .. scrap gold prices are $25 gram for 10kt .. I took to a pawn shop Larry's pawn to be exact and they gave $1,300 for it and I bought another for $6,999 .. I will never sell or purchase another item from this place and advise everyone else to do your research as well . Sad they are taking advantage of people .

            First and most important to me is that I must apologize that you feel that you had a bad experience in my store. As the owner of Gulfcoast Coin & Jewelry I take customer service, and issues like the one you have brought up very seriously. I would like to review what happened and maybe all parties will understand.

            You were being helped by my newest employee! She has been working here for less than 3 weeks part time. She was trying to be as helpful as possible. She asked you to wait so she could get you a firm quote from one of my employees that have been working at gulfcoast for a while. She knew that she wanted to get another quote from a more seasoned employee. Again, she was trying to be helpful but, never did she mean that the figure she came up with was our offer. She was trying to help! The communication between you two wasn't very good as you were talking on your cell phone while she was trying to explain to you what was going on. She told you that she was waiting for another employee to come over and help her. We are very busy, and she asked you to wait a moment until the other employee was off the phone. You just continued with your conversation on your cell phone. As all my employees were busy, I came out to help. I saw that you were on the phone for some time, and I asked you not to use your cell phone in my business due to security reasons. I have a big sign in front of the store, "No Cell phone usage please" before you walk in. I have a sign on the front door that you open. I have signs on top of the show cases. For some reason, you thought I was out of line asking you to adhere to a strict "no cell phones" company policy that protects my employees and my business. You turned around and left the store. In my industry the use of cells phones in the store is a big security problem. Even more so, in these times, as people are wearing face masks. I have e-mail blasts and letters from insurance companies asking to implement these procedures, as we are a high security area. I'm sorry that you felt differently, and didn't want to stay, and get the appraisal finished. As far as your coins, Gary showed you the price levels on the "Grey Sheet" to give you the different prices for the different grades. He was giving you price ranges, not offers, and again, just trying to be helpful. He too, would have come and gotten me for coin prices but you said you were not interested in selling, just a price range.

            Honesty and Integrity are on top of my list when running my company! That's why we have been in business for 48 years. Again, I'm sorry for what happened. Maybe if you were not so tied up with your phone call, and maybe if we weren't so busy in the store, and short employees, the communication between all parties would have concluded a better outcome.

            Again, I apologize for the miscommunication that occurred on your last visit to my store. I would like the opportunity to earn your business again.
