We contracted her out to build a concrete pad. This was back in June. It's now December, and we still have no pad. They did the framework, but she refuses to order concrete! We already paid $6500 and can't afford to hire someone else to finish the job - she only did about $3k worth of work. She already is over budget (we had to pay $1k extra for expenses that she should have warned us of). This is absolutely ridiculous. She's ghosting us and the subcontractor she hired. We need our pad done!!!

Ms ***** contracted with Classic Kitchens & Granite to install a 1500 foot concrete slab for an outbuilding on her property. $10,500 contract. Ms ***** paid CKG deposit of $6300.00. Over $7000 in materials and labor has been spent by ***, with paid material invoices and paid labor as proof.. Permit was issued, slab foundation completed and passed inspection. Delay was due to hurricanes and ***** yard holding water, preventing pad work. Ms ***** changed location of pad from original location, thus costing CKG more foundation materials that we did not charge her for. Ms ***** has run out of money to pay *** to continue. Ms ***** is defaming *** by posting false reviews and complaints in an effort to force *** to do the remaining work for no pay. Thus *** cancelled her contract. This matter has been turned over to our attorney to seek defamation and future loss of business damages.

    Complaint: 22697813

I am rejecting this response because:

The company never returned any of my phone calls or texts about pouring concrete. She ghosted me and the subcontractor. We were fine waiting a few days for concrete, but she went no contact for over a week! Prior to that, we kept being told it would happen the next day, then the next day. The standing water was only an issue for one month, and we never once complained. There were other delays as a result of the company's lack of communication. For instance, telling us the day of that we'd need to pay $600 for a termite inspection. The company also put us on the back burner for the first two months (prior to any bad weather). This isn't about it just taking too long. This is about her never communicating with us and REFUSING to pour our pad. We even offered to pay for the concrete ourselves just so it would be delivered. Yet the company never responded to our offer. She only communicates when a complaint is filed for others to see. She's done this before with other clients (just look at her reviews and her last lawsuit). There was NOT 7k worth of work done. The concrete alone is going to put us over our initial quote. As a contractor, it's your duty to give accurate quotes. We paid everything that you asked for (even when we weren't warned of the expense). The $3k in preparation for the pad does not make up for everything, as we paid well over $3k for the work. This company is extremely unprofessional. She spent our deposit elsewhere and refused to finish the job, or even communicate with us.

    Sincerely,

    ******** *****
