Bill smith does not back up their claims about repair. Refrigerator 1.5 year old with a 5 year warranty on compressor that failed. So much for being a factory authorized service shop. Then they charged me $130 for diagnostic. The new repairman stated that fee could have been claimed to GE. They don’t return your calls. I did have the sales mgr. Return my call only to no avail. We now have been over a month awaiting repair from a dishonest company. Do yourself a favor and get your appliances anywhere else.Review from Darcy C

The sales lady told us all our appliances came with a 2 year warranty as bill smith adds one year to the manufacturer’s warranty. We found that isn’t the truth. Just past one year out our ice maker broke. We called the parts dept with bill smith and they refused to even answer a question while also wanting to charge twice as much as other affiliates for the part! I’ll ne er purchase another appliance from this company!!!

I wish I would have read these prior to engaging with Bill *****. We purchased a refrigerator/freezer middle of November. OF course they cannot give any kind of estimate of when it will be in. We finally get a call mid January that it is in. Takes 2 more weeks to schedule the delivery. They finally show up 3 hours after the window they gave us, only to tell us, they just now looked at the refrigerator and it has a huge dent and the water/ice dispenser is broke, so they never even took it off the truck. We have to call the office, they say they will order a new one but once again no clue on when it will be in. It is now 12 weeks since ordering, not one call from them apologizing about the damaged product or offering a discount, nothing. This company knows nothing about customer service. I a not sure where we will go for our next appliances but I know where we will not be going.Review from Mary M

Horrible experience. We put a down payment on a refrigerator that we knew would take some time to get. We ordered on 10/16 and were told it would take about 4 to 5 weeks. After 7 weeks we called and were told that we would be called when it was in. We asked if it would be possible that the delivery would be while we were away for Christmas and were told that it wouldnt be that long. We called the salesman twice and were told that he was with a customer and would return our call. He never did. We went to the storeThe second week of January and asked to speak with a manager. We explained our situation to him and were met met with discourtesy and hostility. He actually had the audacity to ask if the date of delivery was promised. No one can promise a date but to be off by months is unacceptable. We felt dismissed by this boorish person and will never do business with Bill Smith again and will let everyone we know about our experience.Review from Al H

Bought a GE fridge less than 2 years ago along with a 5 year warranty. The compressor broke 2 weeks ago. When I bought the warranty I was told it was through Bill Smith, now I found that it was actually through a third party who refused a new fridge and will only pay for repairs. I was told by Bill Smith has ordered the part over a week ago. Now I found out that the part was only ordered 2 days ago, so they lied to me last week. I will never buy anything from Bill Smith again, the service is terrible and they lie to you about the warranty.Review from Lorri D

Bill ***** advertises that they have impeccable and the best service imaginable! **** lies! We have an appliance that has an extended warranty. Sold to us with the belief that Bill ***** covered the warranty, which was another lie. It’s a third party that gives the run around. After 8 weeks without a dishwasher over thanksgiving, a memorial and Christmas, numerous telephones from us with no feedback or communication. We are so disappointed with this lousy company. Their service call windows are given on the day of. This is so inconvenient. We took two days off that costs us money and time. First tech arrived 3 weeks after the first call. Five minutes into the service, he tells us it doesn’t work! That was one full day wasted waiting in a tech to tell us the obvious. Two more weeks later we take another day off for another tech to arrive at 5.36pm (taking the day off) and works for over an hour, to install two parts. Still doesn’t work and told more parts are needed. Dallas, the service supervisor, informs us that we cannot get a replacement but another part. I was told that I need to call Warranty Tech. I have to do the leg work. After 8 weeks, we have received an email from Guardsman to inform us that we can receive a replacement but wait two days for a call from the retailer. After two days, still no call, so I called and informed that they do not use Guardsman. We are still waiting on a call from Bill ***** in Bonita Springs. They don’t even know who their third party service company is. This company takes your money - warranty money - and then stone walls you. No apologizes, no explanations, no calls, no compensation. Just a complete lack of respect for their customers, hoping that they just go away and simply purchase the item again due to the inexcusable delays. Never will we ever purchase from this retailer. Never. We want our money back. Simply never want to deal with Bill ***** ever again.

Bill Smith Appliance has provided the worst customer service I have ever experienced regarding my GE Cafe dishwasher. After having the dishwasher for less than a year (and leaving ******* for 6 months of that year thus not using the dishwasher) it stopped working. A Bill Smith ***************** Tech has been out to my house FIVE TIMES to service it, and hasnt been able to resolve the issue. They have replaced the control board 4 times and nearly every other part in it, and will simply not replace the dishwasher, even though its clearly a lemon. We now have 6 parts on order, with several of these having already been replaced, but some are on back order so I have to wait weeks longer for an appliance that *** or *** not work after a sixth service call. I have gone months without a dishwasher and have spent hours of my time on the phone with Bill Smith ***************** and waiting for their technicians to show up. Beyond the physical dishwasher, the customer service reps are condescending. ******* has given me nothing but attitude when I call. I am incredibly disappointed in this company that wont stand by its product, and I will be sure to tell everyone I know to work with someone else in the future.Review from Amy F

This place is awful. It used to be a great place and I used to get all my appliances there. Over the past 2 to 3 years, they have gone downhill completely. My dryer has now been broken for almost a month and they dont know when they will be able to get it fixed. They are very good at selling things but they have terrible service. The customer service is also awful with a very bad attitude from the employees. They could care less about helping you with your problem. I never write reviews, but wanted to make sure people know how terrible this place. I dont want people to make the same mistake that I made and but their appliances here. I regret it and will never buy from them again.Review from mike y

We ordered all new appliances at Bill Smith for our new home. Delivery was a bit of a problem, but not unusual much like everything else. Our issue, we had a problem with our dishwasher emitting a smell after use. Bill Smith sent a repair man to look it over and decided that the smell was coming from a hose that needed to be reconnected. The issue seemed to be OK for a couple months, and the smell came back including standing water in the bottom of the dishwasher. We called again and was told the warranty was over (by about 3 weeks) and we would need to pay for service. We argued that this was a call back from the first issue. Their reply was to call LG, the manufacturer of the Dishwasher and see if they would extend the warranty. We called LG and they have not returned our call. Bottom line, Bill Smith appliances should stand behind their repairs. They did not and now want to charge us.
