Innovative Roofing pros replaced a roof on my home and said the inspection was completed. However I received a letter from the township stating that the finale inspection was never completed. And the permit is in default. I contacted Innovative multiple times to try to resolve now I get no response.

This house was sold to a new owner and the warranty was not transferred. The permit was attempted to be closed out over a year a go and the County has since lost or misplaced the engineer letter we submitted. This most likely happened when the county switched software systems as this happened on other projects including commercial ones we had in progress. We are unsure how the house was sold with an open permit but either way we have been in contact with the building department and they are not allowing engineer letters any longer when though we submitted the letter back when they were accepting letters. They are now expecting contractors to open up perfectly good roofs to verify dry in procedures and we refuse to do this and open a perfectly good roof. We are in contact with the state building inspector as well as the engineer and engineering board for the state of ******* regarding this matter. The project was complete and in good working order. The only issue is the close out of the permit and that is what we are being stone walled by the building department. We will provide the customer with an update as soon as we can get a solution between all the entities listed previously.

I had a roof repaired after Hurricane *** by called Innovative Roofing Pros for around $21,000. Less than a year later, I noticed water damage appear in my front room. I had my insurance company come out to inspect it. They found that a piece of flashing was not installed right over the area, and that was where water was coming in. They denied my claim due to improper installation. My roof was less than a year old, so I called Innovative Roofing Pros/Innovative Construction Pros to fix it under warranty. They repaired the missing flashing within the week. I called multiple times over two months to have them repair the water damage inside the house. They denied all responsibility, claiming their warranty was only for the roof materials. They signed me up separately for a materials warranty, so that is blatantly false. They then said that is not stated in the contract or warranty that they would repair damages. That is also false. Contract only states no mold damage would be fixed. While I do have some mold on furring strips, there is still water damage to the baseboards, drywall, and the furring strips. Company did not try to work with me at all on the repairs. *****, the contractor I was in contact with, seemed ignorant to the entire situation, as shown by the texts not knowing the age of my roof or that his company already repaired the missing flashing. He only denied any and all responsibility and made up information relating to the contract and warranty.

We at Innovative Roofing Pros take pride in our workmanship and stand behind our warranties as we have for 30 years.

We did fix the leak on ********************** house in short order once he gave us the notification that he was having issues. He has confirmed that.

The issue was the alleged "damage" the leak caused. We do not, in our warranty, cover any defects or damage from the leak but only to fix the leak itself. We have, at our discretion, the option to pay to fix issues we feel are a direct cause of said leak and not from a previous leak or damage that we may not have ben ***** to.

I personally called Mr. ***** and attempted to make this leak damage right and offered to take care of this. He refused and said, "He would rather do the work himself and run our name into the ground".

That is where we left the conversation and he went on to complain to every place that would listen.

We feel this issue is closed since he refused our help to rectify the situation.

    Thanks

I am rejecting this response because: Read the attached contract. If they can point out which phrase in the contract states they will not fix damages, that would be great. Section 1.13 only claims not to fix interior damage caused by the vibrations or house shifting, not improper installation. Section 1.14 states they will fix damages caused by improper installation. Contract states damages caused by improper installation will be fixed. Damages were not fixed. From January to April, I made multiple calls to the company to get the damages fixed. They continued to claim they were not responsible. After several months, I decided the company would continue to refuse to fix it. I filed complaints and told his company not to contact me. ******* still called me later that day.

In regards to the phone call where they "offered to take care of this," I sent an email to BBB immediately after the phone call with exactly what happened, and I recently forwarded it again to make sure it was read. ******* refused to repair any damages, repeatedly lying about the contract. He is lying about me saying "I would run his name into the ground." I never made any threats. I told him that I had already filed all my complaints prior to his phone call. It was an agitated phone call on both ends, where I talked over ******* any time he said "We do not have to fix the damages" or "the contract states" because I knew he was continuing to lie. ******* then told me to file as many complaints against him as I wanted, at which point I reminded him that I had already done so and told his company not to contact me.

They made no attempts to fix anything. Their employees lied to me, ******* lied to me, and he is lying to you now.

Unrelated, I am still picking up roofing nails out of my yard a year later.

    Sincerely,

    ******************

Job was started and is incomplete. Company has made numerous excuses of why it is incomplete. False statements have been made by the company. We are still waiting for them to resolve the issues.
