My vehicle was stolen and towed from my driveway. A company called off the chain towing and recovery DOT ******* My vehicle was parked in my personal driveway behind my other car. It was not blocking any other parking spots or spaces. It was within my property line. And a very rude and aggressive employee drove back to tell me he towed the vehicle. I checked with my complexes lease regarding parking rules and regulations of the vehicle is parked within the driveway it is not to be towed. This guy started at $80 and then $212, and then stated because I called the cops it was going to be $323 for his time and Inconveniencing him. Classic bait and switch. Scam artist company stealing vehicles from personal driveways !! This owner *********************** also is not fully incompliant with the ***** or the dot . I was illegally charged for storage even though he came back with my car in less then 5 minutes. As per ******* statue the company must have possession of the vehicle for 6 hours before charging for storage fees.

On 1/14/23 at approximately 0130hours my 2021 ***** Accord was towed by Off The Chain towing from ***************************************************************************************; my apartment communities contracted tow company. Due to many buildings in the community undergoing roof repair many parking spots are blocked or unavailable which causes our already over crowded parking lots to be overwhelmed. I parked several buildings away in a dimly light spot which turns out was a handicapped parking spot. My mistake. Upon discovering my car was no longer in the parking lot I contacted the local Police who advised the car was reported as towed with a reference of it having been parked on a curb? I contacted the tow lot and was given a fee amount and a recovery address. Upon arrival to pick up my vehicle I paid $247 for the fees and began to drive my car. Immediately I discovered the many safety and warning light systems going offmy vehicles front end was damaged. Alignment was off horribly, the vehicle jerked to the side and my braking system was alerting to problems. I called the tow company to report the issues and all **** at ************ would say is its not possible that the tow company caused the damage. I took my vehicle immediately to the local ***** dealer for exam then repair. The vehicle had to have inner and outer tie rods replaced and all steering alignment reset. Somehow the tow company seriously damaged my vehicle. The costs associated with my repairs was $621.33 from ****************** at ***************. I accept the fines due for violating a restricted parking space and towing fees however tow companies are regulated and drivers are to be trained to not damage vehicles they tow. I tried speaking with the tow company twice regarding the damages but they didnt want to entertain that they possibly could have done anything wrong. I kept being told its impossible. Well congratulations Off The Chain Towing I guess you have achieved the impossible!
