We reserved a rental managed by Designed VR through Airbnb on 3/04/24 (rental dates: 3/27/24-4/02/24). This rental has an insect infestation which we reported several times (among other property issues).I reported a live cockroach on 3/28. They replied that they would send out a professional pest control service to address it. They did not. We found two more cockroaches the next day (3/29) and reported it. They said they would check on it and did not nor did they follow-up. I asked for an update, again and they responded that they will take care of it. They did not. We found another cockroach on 3/31 in our clothes and reported it. They said they would escalate the issue, but had still not come out and handled the insect infestation. We had kids with us and nowhere to go or anyone to come out and handle it. They said they would follow up in the morning again and did not. The dishwasher stopped working the first time we used it 3/28, on 3/31, and again on 4/01. We reported each time. On the 3rd time (4/01) it flooded the kitchen. We reported it and they didn't send anyone out. We needed to clean up a flooded kitchen with the only towels the provided us.On 3/31 I asked to discuss an appropriate amount of a refund. They said someone would follow up the first thing in the morning to discuss the refund. No one did. I asked again about the refund status on 4/01, twice, and no one had yet followed up. I asked again on 4/02 about a refund. They said someone would follow up in the "next few days". I didn't hear anything and asked again on 4/03. Still nothing and I followed up again on 4/04. I asked to be provided with the manager's name and number. They would not provide it, and said they would call me directly. I still have not heard anything from them. I have pictures of the cockroaches, flooded kitchen, and message history. I have tried to be patient and give them an opportunity to handle this and a refund. They still will not return my calls.

Total paid was $3,186.To stay at a property managed DesignedVR dates from August 15 to September 24, 2023 Receipt Numbers RCPF8HRBHF RCBHC5NZMT property at ********************************************************* *********** and the property were committed to provide a clean apartment with functioning electricity, functioning air conditioning, functioning refrigerator and kitchen. There was no kitchen. I don't believe this is actually a legal apartment or home. it is a motel room but it is definitely not a motel property. it was not staffed and cleaned like a motel. it did not follow the fire code of a motel/hotel. it did not pay taxes like a hotel/motel. The property was booked through airbnb. it was supposed to be a legitimate residence. instead it is a property that is trying to circumnavigate hotel/motel codes and abuse the intent of airbnb.i asked for a reasonable refund for a $1,000 refund (1/3 of my total payment to them) because of their misrepresentations and false claims about the property that tricked me into booking lodging with them. this sum includes $500 of food damages explained below and my stolen $100 deposit. There was a bathroom that was supposed to be nice but the sink was clogged. There was hair everywhere. there were stains all over all the sheets, towels, pillow cases and blankets. The power failed on more than 5 different occasions. the management never took timely steps to fix things. they did not reimburse for all of the food losses each time the power failed. in total that loss was roughly $500. I didnt sleep well because the a/c failed and the room was disgusting. there was also a bug issue. When I told the management company my issues they threatened and bullied me. They stole my security deposit. Additionally as retaliation for my raising my issues, they charged me a $150 late fee on a room that was $65 a night. They are relentless in their abuse and continue to harass me even after i have left the property.
