Heritage Insurance *** is my homeowners policy provider. I have rain damage to my home and the adjuster took 10 minutes to decide they will not pay my claim. I ask him to return when I was present to shout the interior damage to my bathroom but he refused. Spoke to him and he said " if you want to get paid then sue the company". I have been paying for my homeowners insurance for over 40 years in ******* and only had ONE claim.

    Good afternoon,

My name is ****** ******** and I am an insurance agent in *************. Heritage Insurance, Inc. was a small independent insurance agency in ******, ******* which has since been sold and is how operating as Levy-Heritage Insurance, LLC. It seems that your complaint should be directed to Heritage Property & ****************, which is a homeowners insurance carrier in *******. Our two organizations are not affiliated and this mix-up happens all the time. I hope your issue is resolved soon! Thanks.

I opened a Roof Claim with Heritage Insurance after having a roof inspection in March 2022. A claim was opened. We had our roof inspected by 2 independent inspectors and the insurance inspector. In April/May 2022. Since May, Heritage Insurance has been impossible to reach. When calling, a 3rd party call center answers. They will take notes, ask for your contact info. There is zero way for the call center to transfer calls to the actual insurance company. They do not have phone numbers or extensions to the direct company, as told by the call center rep. They are only able to email requests for call backs. October 7, 2022 I hired an Adjuster. The adjuster as well had issues making contact and had to use legal counsel to get a response. It is now January 2023 and I am still awaiting resolution. However, it gets better, My policy renewed October 2022 and they sky rocketed my premium from $3,700 to $7,700! I am in an FHA loan with an escrow. This rise is causing my mortgage with a principal payment of $986 to over $2300 monthly mortgage payment. I believe this company is doing ill-will harm to its customers.

    - I have insurance for my home through Heritage Insurance. Current policy covers the period from 11/01/2021-11/01/2022. The policy is paid through an escrow account managed by my mortgage company. I have ZERO claims since I bought my house in 2009. - Heritage Insurance sent me a notice of cancelation to cancel my policy by September 20 for $104.48 policy balance. The cancelation notice did not mention a reason for the due balance. - I had a three-way phone conversation on September 16 that involved my mortgage company and Heritage Insurance to explain the reason for the notice and how we can avoid the cancellation given that I pay my insurance through an escrow account. - In the September 16 phone conversation, Heritage agent have not mentioned or explained the cancelation notice, even after I specifically asked about the cancelation notice sent to me. She only asked for information about my mortgage company, which was provided. I closed the phone conversation fully assured that there is no risk for losing my insurance. I believe there is a clear intention to hide the charge until the cancelation is effective. - On September 25, I found a cancelation letter effective September 20 for my current insurance and for next year's renewal. - On September 25 around 9a, I called Heritage insurance who insisted that the cancelation is final. Heritage insurance denied they have a record of my September 16 phone conversation - On September 25, around 9:30a, I called my mortgage company and had another three-way phone conversation with the insurance company. My mortgage company indicated that they have a record of the September 16 phone conversation. My mortgage company offered to pay any remaining balance and requested to re-instate the insurance. The insurance company refused to re-instate the insurance. Heritage insurance clearly mentioned that they DO NOT provide insurance to residents in the southeast states, which indicates a clear intention to drop my coverage.
