On 12/4/42 we paid Web.com for SEO,SSL and ********************* Immediately, their attempt to provide Web Hosting failed. Our website is destroyed and not visible to potential customers anymore. I have the same issues as all of the other complaints that I read. No response from the company. Obviously calling another country when you call with employees who barely speak English. Every time you call, you go through hours of delays just to be told that you have the wrong department, even though you gave a clear description of why you are calling. The original sales **** ***** ******** was very eager to take our money but, will not return emails or calls. Every time you ask for a senior manager, you get some type of excuse that they can't do that. Now, we are going on a month with a website that, they didn't build, and anyone searching on ****** for our products can't find us. If you click on our name, you won't see our website. All you see is a bunch of computer code. If this company was legitimate, they would test your site after they claim that they know how to host a website. I've called and, spent hours on the phone now for a month and, the same thing happens every day. I've been trying to get a corporate phone number. All listed number you find are disconnected or not working. All others go straight back to the sales departments in ***** and *****. Please STAY AWAY from this company

My domain *********** is supposed to forward to the************** but it has not worked and I have been paying for this for over two months. I keep calling and getting representatives who say the situation has been fixed, but it has not and this has been over two months. Again, I am paying for service that does not work and no one seems to be able to fix it.

Hello! The company actually did respond to me and they fixed the issue. Everything is working fine now. Obviously, the company should have communicated with the BBB, but they certainly did with me and fix the problem. Thank you for your assistance.

In August of this year I purchased a domain and web hosting package from web.com, they offered the domain for free because I purchased their eCommorce package, I got a receipt confirming that my domain name has been registered to me, Now after a couple of months I was unable to find the domain name in my web.com account, I called them up to clearify why I don’t see the domain in my account, they said “because I did not proceed with the monthly eCommerce subscription package, so they took the domain name away”, This is pure robbery and corruption, they never notified me that my domain name will be taken away, I understand that if after 2 months I did not renew payment for eCommerce that they discontinue the eCommerce and website, however, the domain name that was registered to me should stay (or at least they should let me know in advance and warn me that this domain name will be taken away from me), Anytime when a domain name is being registered to someone, it never expires before the 1 year mark, I’d NEVER register this domain name with them if I’d know that they will be sneaky about it and take my domain name hostage because I did not pay one month for their web hosting/ecommerce service and without notifying me. After a while on the phone with their customer service, they said that they can TRY to give it back to me, but I need to pay “$37.00”, WHY ON EARTH DO I NEED TO PAY $37.00 when a new domain costs to register $12.99 only!???? Why do I need to pay a RANSOM!???? This is wrong, and a shady way of them doing business. Shame on web.com group, GIVE ME BACK MY DOMAIN NAME ASAP. And stop fooling customers.

Been with Web.com for 18 years, they switched to a new platform over a year ago I have not been able to log into my business website. It has affected sales for our small family business. Every time I call I get somebody from another country and Im supposed to give them what changes I need. Its very difficult takes two hours and every time I ask to fix the account they keep transferring me and then eventually will hang up on me.This has caused severe stress, loss of several hours of my time and loss of possible sales. They want me to pay to switch to their new platform even though they were the ones that changed it. They have raised my monthly cost twice in this period of time as well, without notification. I want to pursue legal action.

Over the summer of 2024 web.com built my website ************************* for $3000 and a $70 monthly fee they eliminated my website bc of non-payment however never contacted me by written correspondence, phone, text or email. They claim they emailed me 5 times and stated my email wasn't working, but it is. Now they state I have to rebuild the website at a $2000 expense. This company has placed my patients and my practice at risk. Customer service is a joke. I'd like to be reimbursed for my loss and want to warn people from using this business

***After lengthy explanation of services provided, hired Web.com to build our website, and once built, to host the site. ***They required payment of everything upfront, including hosting- even though hosting would not begin immediately. Paid $2898 for build/hosting. ***Immediately after paying, Web.com changed the terms of the agreement. We gave them a list of our expectations, and they agreed we were correct. We tried giving them the opportunity to provide what they had promised. They consistently said they would, but it became clear that they were saying one thing and planned to do another. It appeared to be a bait and switch on nearly every promise they made. ***We requested a refund (as they had said we could get at any time). The refund was very difficult to get processed. We had to badger and threaten for a week before getting a refund of all but $58. ***We don't know what the $58 is, but it is shown as a recurring subscription on our credit card. We disputed the charge since Web.com never built, nor hosted our website. ***After disputing the charge, we sent an email to Web.com to make sure that we are not signed up for any recurring charges for services they are not providing. We put in writing to cancel all portions of any accounts they had set up for us. ***Our sales person, Robin Smith, responded that we needed to send this request to the "appropriate department" at Web.com to have it canceled. He is our only contact. We never made it past him. We asked for the contact info for the "appropriate department", and he has not responded. ***We want any account that was proactively set up for us to be canceled and all future charges canceled. Web.com never actually did any work or hosting for us. They insisted we pay upfront, and that's as far as we got. Even though our site is hosted by a different company, it appears Web.com has plans to continually charge us, and they won't provide contact information to proceed with our request.

In 2000, I bought a domain (my name) from ************. They had good prices and service, and I continued to use them for nearly 25 years for hosting and email forwarding. Then this last summer email stopped working for my wife and I. So I pulled up mydomain... and found out they'd sold out to web.com, which I was unfamiliar with. Finally got through to their "service"... only to be told that they no longer offered email forwarding for domain owners. I also got a flag from my credit card saying there had been an unusual charge... from web.com.The "unusual charge" was $147 to renew a domain... a domain that I had intentionally let lapse years before. I went to log in to start the process of moving my domains. Web.com had instituted a *** on my account, requiring that I receive an email from them with an access code. They were sending that email to an address that THEY HAD TURNED OFF THEMSELVES when they arbitrarily and without notice deactivated email forwarding. So now I had to change the administrative email address for my account, as well as all my domains. This "simple change" took three weeks. Then I was notified that oops, any contact info change locks down a domain for 60 days.We still couldn't get mail at our regular addresses. web.com "conveniently" offered paid email hosting (forcing domain owners into this was obviously why this whole business started), which I regretfully signed up for. On the 61st day, I put in for transfer codes for all my domains. Then I found out it would be "24 to 72 hours" for them to process (it was actually almost a week). In the meantime, web.com "helpfully" charged me $25 to renew one of the domains that I'd already told them I was moving to another host, and which wouldn't expire for another 10 days anyway.Four weeks after I canceled Web.coms email service, and after I removed the domains associated with those addresses, Web.com charged me for another month of service. Theres another chargeback for you.

according to my contract with dotster the BASIC\ESSENTIAL SSL certificated its FREE I have been a customer for more than 15 years, I have 7 domains and I have never paid $1, including one that I bought in March, yesterday I bought another one and they wanted to charge me $88 for the certified SSL, the supervisor offered me the SSL at 50% of the price I paid $44 because I needed it, but online at this link *********************************************************************** The price of the SSL certificate is $27.99, a screenshot is attached to this message, it is unfair to have to pay when it should be free, and also have to pay a higher price
