Customer is a complete Scam Artist.  Customer had a pre-existing Tile issue on his front porch which was brought to his attention both by myself and the installers.  We informed customer that we do not do Tile repair that we are paver installers.  We informed him that this is pre-existing and took numerous photo documentation for reasons just like this.  Customer paid 50% before the job started and the final 50% once the job was complete.  The customer is in a wheel chair and never came out to do the final walk through.  His wife did however and also signed off on the job completion form.  When it was time to pay the final 50% she started to negotiate final payment and stated that her husband would be so proud if she was able get any additional money off the final bill.  we explained that there were no additional discounts at this time.  She wrote us a check for the remaining balance and signed off on the job.  WE NEVER AGREE TO COME BACK AND FIX ANY TILE.  We told them from the beginning that this would be a job for a tile guy and not us.
Upon hiring me, these so called "ELDERLY" customers did the same thing to the roofers who just put on a new roof.  There was some minor damage to their driveway from the roofing machines and they tried forcing the roof company to pay my paver invoice.  They even tried having the roofing company's insurance company call me for my professionals opinion.  They laughed and thought it was funny saying that insurance companies have tons of money and this doesnt cost anyone anything. Now they are trying a similar scam on my company.  Dont be fooled this pathetic excuss of a man and his sidekick wife who tries to run warranty and repair scams on every contractor he comes across.  I could have easily returned and fixed this but out of principle, I stand my ground and refuse to fix something that I did not do and it was all documented pre and post installation.  Oh......and the installation turned out incredible!!!!
