2/28/23 - I signed a contract for a mobile home delivery and gave *** a $15,000 deposit check. 8/2/23 - CMH estimates the stilt house will be completed in January 2024 and that they have completed 4 stilt houses. I later found out this was not true.8/10/23 - CMH tells me that the permit has been applied for. After checking the permit website, I find out this is not true.9/16/23 - I asked CMH who the engineer is so that I might follow up on the several-month delay. He sends me the contact information for ****** ** in ******** FL. I believe this was not true.10/13/23 - I verbally and in writing, ask CMH to make SURE that all concrete is included in the contract price as my lot is 100% cement. He assures me that is correct. 10/24/23 - I met with ***** ****** in person to discuss timeline hold-ups.11/27/23 - CMH says permit has been approved. Untrue.2/27/24 - Permitting was finally approved after roughly 6 months.4/3/23 - The concrete demo of the lot is started. The water line that runs through the property and out to the dock is broken. 1-29-2022 I paid $15,000 for a deposit on a new manufactured home. I was told I would have delivery in 3 to 6 months. Time passed, nothing happened and I was given the excuse that Lee ******************** was holding things up. Thirteen months later I found out that the sales reps *** and **************** had been indicted by the federal government for fraud. I talk to ***** the owner of Central Mobile and he told me I could cancel my order and he would refund my $15,000 deposit. I said that that is what I wanted to do. I have yet to get the money because now he says he doesnt have to give it to me. I feel that ***** and the Zolloffs did not make promises to me in good faith. They did not care about me after they got my money. They did not answer phone calls or return text messages. I am 83 years old, disabled, and now living in a 20 foot RV camper because of them.Business response

We have a contract that was signed by the customer that allows us to keep 10% of the total cash price or the entire deposit whichever is greater - Customer had no reason to cancel the contract. Whatever issues the Jollof's have are before they came to work at Central and nothing to do with our business. We told customer that *** the owner would handle her job moving forward she was okay with that when she left our off and them about a month later called to cancel . She was then advised she would not be getting her deposit back - As of now our attorney is handling this so any further info needed needs to be directed to himCustomer response

I recently found out that the Zolloffs waited six months, until August, before they applied for my building permit. During this time they continued to blame Lee ******************** for the delay.

We went to Central Mobile Homez in May of 2023 to purchase a manufactured home. We put $35,000 down and were told that *** and *********************** would get the permits. They also said they would deliver our home by December 2023. Did not happen they have continued to give us false promises. I just sent a email to them demanding my $35,000 deposit back.Initial Complaint

On February 10, 2023 I placed a deposit with this company for a new home, based on the salesman assuring me that the home could be completed by mid-May to early June. As of April 20th the company had still not filed a completed construction permit with the county. I notified the salesman that I was cancelling the contract and requested that my deposit be refunded to me. Since that time, I have tried almost daily to contact them and no one will respond to any kind of communication.Initial Complaint

On October 23, 2021, the Central Mobile Homes, **** and I signed the Contract of mobile home installation. The same day, I paid the required $20,00 deposit, and the company's President assured me that the house will be installed in 2-3 months.Today is February 6, 2023 - the mobile home has not been installed yet, and no work on the construction site has started. It has taken too long time, and the Central ***** Homes continues holding my deposit. No apology. Another problem with this company is a lack of customer communication. My telephone calls are neither picked up nor returned. They just ignore all my attempts to contact them. Very frustrating. Very disappointing. I sent to the Company a letter requesting for a contract cancellation, based on the fact the Company is not able to deliver the service in timely manner. I received a denial answer. What can I do now?Initial Complaint

My father purchased a house from central mobile ****** for 30k down as a cash buyer. Hes approaching end of life wanting to retire on my property of 6 acres. In order to wait for the house he rented an apartment for 1 year of which time elapsed and Ive decided he could live with me until the house got here because I did not want him to spend any more of his retirement. As a result Ive been living in a loft for the last 6 months. This has been a complete nightmare for me and my entire family. ***************************** who they have as theyre representative has been nothing but useless with excuse after excuse in trying to delay the delivery of my fathers retirement home. I have called ************* the Vice President of mobile ****** never to a have received any explanation as to the delay or even an apology. My father is currently pursuing litigation since hes already paid well over 50k on a septic, electric lines leading up to the property and land development.
