            Business response

            09/27/2023

I was originally hired by the complainant to do general labor work moving items from a pod and onto a house and from the house to a pod, and we were hired following the original hire date to do furniture assembly and waste disposal.

All services were rendered, as no customer is expected to agree to payment for a service that was not rendered.

We assembled somewhere between 5 to 8 individual pieces of furniture including 4 chairs and spent a total of 12 hours actually working and I decided to take 1 hour off on first day to help her stay within budget.

We made mistake in assembly of 2 individual pieces, which both were simple fixes which I offered verbally to go fix them free of charge but did not receive any cue of acceptance by the complainant.

As seem on the screenshot I ultimately offered an additional 3 hours of labor at $70/hr for a refund to which Natalie presumably refused as she did not answer. This refund is no longer an option.

We are regretful that we made mistakes during assembly and offered the 3hr refund and to fix the items for free to which she did not accept or agree to.

            Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

I am requesting further resolution. Business was not able to complete services. Business used double time necessary, did not render services in full  would not have been able to complete due to lack of ability, not lack of time. Business had already caused damage to furniture, delay to project over all and additional funds to fix and complete project.

Four hours were not offered, only three based on paid invoice. A refund of four hours or more would be accepted.

            Sincerely,

            ******* *****

            Business response

            10/19/2023

As mentioned, On day 1 where we worked actual 12 hours we had already reduced 1 hour, then we offered 3 more hours of refund making it a total of 4 hours.

No additional compensation is offered, and our decision stands firm.

            Thank you for your time
