This companys agent assured me that everything was in order with my policy. I even paid **************************************************************************************** order and there would be no problems. Six weeks later, I got a letter stating that I had to pay more money within 10 days. I was not given a reason for the increase but it was an annual increase of approximately $600. The representatives I spoke to were very cavalier about my policy, and told me to talk to the agent who was no help. Once I stated I would be changing insurance, i started getting phone calls with excuses that made no sense. I asked why I wasnt notified in writing about the problems and I was told it doesnt work that way. I paid the additional money and then found out that another payment was due in one week , in spite of my having requested and been given an invoice showing my payments would be quarterly. I contacted the company after making the payment and imagine my surprise when the system said my policy was invalid. I am contacting the state to file a complaint. In my opinion, this company has terrible customer service and they mislead customers to get the sale.

We initiated a new home insurance policy on 8/15/2023 with agent *******************************. At the time that this was done, ****** assured us that all required documents had been signed and received by him.On today, 5/31/2024, we contacted the company for information on a potential claim only to discover that our policy had been cancelled without our knowledge. This cancellation date was discovered to have been on 10/30/2023. Since the initiation of our policy, we were not contacted by the agent in any way. Upon contacting Citizens Property Insurance (who had assigned ****** and Protective Choice Insurance to us), we were informed that ****** had been contacted by Citizens multiple times with requests to forward documents over to continue the policy. We were informed by Citizens that because of ******'s failure to provide the required documents, Citizens automatically cancelled our policy.Both companies failed to inform us, the customers, about any missing documents or information. A separate complaint has been filed to Citizens in regard to their failure to effectively communicate with us, so it must be noted that this complaint is in particular regard to ******'s negligence. If further information or documents were required by us, ****** failed to contact us as the customer to make us aware.Furthermore, when this cancellation was discovered on 5/31, Protective Choice was contacted by phone at around 9AM. A voicemail was left with a request for a call back. A representative returned the call and stated that an agent would investigate and reach back out by 10:30AM. No such call was ever received. I contacted the office again and the same representative stated she would transfer my call to the agent, only to send me back to the voicemail. Throughout the morning and afternoon, numerous attempts to call were made with no success. Protective Choice not only failed us as a customer, but seemingly refuses to return the call to discuss the situation that they have left us in.
