Installed roofing leaking and damaged the sheet rock in the garage. Cannot get in contact with the company or sales rep **** *******. Listed phone number is no longer in service. Supposed to have a 10 year warranty on the roof which is only 2 years old.

July 28th 2023 the installation of our new roof was completed. Our bill was just over $38000. It was financed through ********. We had a couple of issues with some leakage, in which Walsh roofing came by and performed some sort of repair. This happened sometime Jan/Feb/Mar of 2024. We experienced further problems with one of the repaired areas, so i placed a text, and numerous phonecalls but to no avail. Texts not answered and phonecalls not going through. I believe the company is out of business. My complaint is two-fold. 1) We've had to have 2 new repairs done by a different company, that ended costing me an extra $700 2) In the purchase price of the roof, a 15 year warranty on labor, and a 50 year warranty on materials was included. I have paid full price but it appears that I will not receive any benefit from what I paid for. What sort of recourse do I have to get my warranty, or even some of what I had to pay extra for to fix something that should have been under warranty to begin with? Thank you for hearing me out. If you need further info, please feel free to call me *************. ***** *****

In July 2022 I hired Walsh Roofing to install a new roof on my house. I purchased the plan that included a 10 year workmanship warranty. Recently (June 2024), we became aware of a significant leak in a section above our garage which I believe is call a "dead-pan" or "dead-valley" area. This leak would be covered by the warranty according to the contract. However, my efforts to contact Walsh to get the matter remedied / resolved have been unsuccessful. The phone # on their website is no longer in service, and the e-mail address provided to report incidents do not work. I even reached out to the owner using what I have been told is his cell # with no response.I am unsure of my recourse or next steps as I assume they are no longer in business.

We had a new Roof replacement installed by Walsh Roofing services on January 29, 2024. We initially thought they did a good job, but once the job was completed and paid in full, it was impossible to reach anyone in the company when there was a problem.Since February, I have had several issues that I needed to talk to someone about, and after numerous phone calls, leaving messages, and even sending a certified letter to the owner, there has been no response. The first issue was a letter I received from one of Walsh's suppliers stating that their bill had not been paid. It notified me that I would be responsible if the bill was not paid by Walsh, and it even threatened to put a lien against my property. No response from Walsh after numerous phone calls to discuss this. (The supplier eventually told me that the bill had finally been paid after 5 weeks.) this was a stressful inconvenience and a waste of my time.Next, two of their employees, ***** and ****, had promised to bring over 2 packages of matching shingles for the roof in case of future damage. These were never delivered. The main issue has to do with the hardware that was installed on the roof. I had contracted and paid $1495 for hurricane clips. After the job was completed, I had a wind mitigation inspection from an independent inspector specially designated by the state of *******. The report (see enclosed) states that the hardware that they installed was not actually hurricane clips, and we still just have toenails on the roof. The inspector also informed us that we would barely be any safer in a storm with the hardware that Walsh installed. Again, no response from Walsh after I called them and sent a certified letter.Their lack of response makes me wonder whether they will even honor their 10-year warranty if there is a leak. There have been numerous other complaints about Walsh Roofings lack of response, as per reviews on various platforms. I am not the only one.

I recently engaged Walsh Roofing for a demolition and roof installation at my property. During the process, the team removed and reattached the existing gutters using nails directly into the fascia boardan unconventional method diverging from the standard practice of employing gutter hangers. This installation approach has unfortunately led to incorrect gutter pitching, which became evident during recent rainfall. The improper slope directs water towards the house, causing overflow in several areas, rather than routing it to the downspouts.Upon discovering this, I consulted with my gutter installation company, which confirmed the method used has rendered the gutters unadjustable and beyond simple repair, necessitating a complete replacement. This has also resulted in the voiding of my gutter warranty.I brought these concerns to Walsh Roofing's attention, and *********************** reviewed the situation. Despite acknowledging the use of back-nailinga technique they routinely employhe agreed to address the matter. Subsequently, I have made several attempts to coordinate a proper resolution with both Walsh Roofing and the gutter specialists, proposing that Walsh Roofing cover the $1,300 cost required by the gutter company for replacement. Unfortunately, my communications have gone unanswered. Moreover, while the contract stipulates a commitment to maintain the gutters' condition and position during roofing work, it appears this was not adhered to, as evidenced by the disposal of the original hangers and the choice of installation method that contradicts standard practices.Given that the reattachment did not mirror the original installation's methodology, I believe this situation falls outside the scope of standard "re-installation" as defined in the terms.I have exhausted all avenues to amicably resolve this issue and now seek your intervention to rectify the situation as promised by *************************. Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I am in the process of selling my home as part of a relocation. A contract is conditional, pending action required by Walsh Roofing, which includes information on the transfer of a warranty as well as a required repair from the four-point inspection on a roof installed by Walsh Roofing in August 2022. I have contacted the company for 10 consecutive days, reaching their 'reception team' each time with promises to have someone return my call. I am still waiting to receive a return call to rectify the situation.

Roof was replaced in February 2023. Walsh Roofing was promptly paid. Sarasota County Inspector FAILED inspection of the roof - TWICE - due to incorrect nailing of the shingles. Regular contact has been made with Walsh Roofing. To date, NOTHING has been done to fix the roof, to meet code, to pass inspection. I will be taking this to **** to be resolved.

    Dear ********************,

I want to address the recent communications and events concerning the roofing inspection with the utmost clarity and concern for the situation at hand.

It has come to our attention that there may be some confusion regarding the inspection outcomes of your property's roof. I would like to firmly clarify that the initial inspection resulted in a "not ready" status due to the absence of shingles at the time of inspection, as explicitly stated on the official website under the entry dated February 16, 2023, by inspector *********************. This was not a failure due to incorrect nailing.

The subsequent inspection noted on February 17, 2023, resulted in a "fail" due to incorrect nailing, as per the Notice of Acceptance ****** However, upon further investigation, we discovered that the NOAs in our ******************************** system, which accompany the crew's work orders, were not aligned with the ***** shingles that were installed. The ***** shingles were indeed installed according to *****'s specifications. The discrepancy in the county's permit portal documents was an oversight on the part of our office, and we acknowledge that this may have contributed to the confusion.

We take our responsibility to communicate effectively with our clients very seriously. Attached, you will find the record of communications between your husband and our sales representative, ****, as well as my own correspondence when I became involved. If there is a lapse in communication between you and your husband regarding these matters, we regret that this is beyond our control. However, we are fully committed to resolving this issue.

We have complied with the inspector's instructions to secure *****'s endorsement of the roof installation, which they have graciously provided. Please refer to the attached letter from ***** for your reference. Furthermore, we made concerted efforts to coordinate an on-site meeting with the inspector, stipulating our need for a two-hour notice due to our location in Tampa. Regrettably, as documented, this notice was not given, leading to the recommendation that we obtain *****'s evaluation, which we have done and submitted to the county.

We understand the importance of this matter and want to assure you that we are taking every step necessary to rectify the situation. We deeply care about delivering quality service and ensuring your satisfaction. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you require further clarification or assistance.

    Sincerely,

    Complaint: 20599311

I am rejecting this response because:  While we GREATLY appreciate the communication of Walsh Roofing, we still do not have a county inspection approving the roof.  Walsh Roofing has provided documentation from the Customer Relations Manager for TAMKO Building Products which states:  "While it is not within our usual protocol to evaluate installations, we trust in the expertise and proficiency of our certified installers, such as Walsh Roofing Services, to uphold our standards."  Did that Customer Relations Manager come inspect the roof himself?

Walsh Roofing has also provided a letter from **************** who states that the ".....asphalt shingle nailing patterns has been installed in accordance with the manufacturers specifications."

We suggest that the owner of Walsh Roofing and a Sarasota County Inspector schedule a time to get up on our roof and then come to an agreement of whether the nailing pattern is legally acceptable or not.  We can't move forward with closing out our insurance claim or even possibly selling our house until this is FULLY resolved.

    Sincerely,

    *************************
