In November 2023 I had a contract estimate #*****, for removal and like replacement of a 20' foxtail palm at my residence, ************************************************. Dec 11, 2023 a DTE crew arrived with a much smaller than the contract specified foxtail palm( approx. 15') and had no equipment to "safely create a path of removal of old palm tree while trying to gently navigate the bougainvillea bushes." NO WORK WAS PERFORMED by DTE at my residence. ******* was supplied meeting the contract specifications. Since this time, I have been invoiced numerous times for the entire invoice estimate of $3163.37. After numerous calls and emails, on January 15, I spoke with *************** who informed me that the crew who came to my residence on December 11, 2023, confirmed that no work was done. *************** advised, the invoice would be credited and I would get an email confirming this. I haven't received such. On January 24, 2024, I received an email from *****************************, DTE Accounts Receivable Specialist, advising the account is 30 days past due. I called both **************** and ********************* and left voice-mail advising of the complete DTE non-performance and requested immediate credit of the invoice. I followed up with an email. Neither has contacted me or remedied this error. Feb 1, I was again emailed an invoice and requested payment by *********************. I followed up with phone calls to her and *************** and again, left VMs. I additionally followed up with an email again that no work was performed at my residence and the invoice should be credited/cancelled. I would like BBB to remedy this errant billing by having DTE credit/cancel the invoice INV177884.

Very poor customer service, no communication. Lies by Greg the area manager. - did not hold his word on the schedule. Rubie A******** failed to help also or return multiple calls or emails. No resolution was made and we threatened to report our deposit as fraud to our creditors for no service. The estimated $75 per hour per employee to repair yard sprinklers. We were billed for 24 total hours. Only 3 workers arrived and worked 3 hours on the complete job - that equals 9 hours not 24. We were home and present at the time of service. We requested a bill adjustment with no reply. They failed to provide the service or sod placement or communication why they haven’t done it when promised. We called and emailed to cancel that service still with no reply. At this point we want others to be aware of their poor customer service and false promised services and we want our bill adjusted appropriately.

I have been attempting to get DTE to come to my address to review and correct irrigation issues. As of the writing of this complaint they have still not corrected the issues despite many emails to them to address the issue. I even contacted them on ******** and they advised they would have it addressed and never have yet. They do not respond to communications and have very poor customer service. My irrigation has not functioned properly for months and now is recently leaking and flooding the sod and sidewalks. They need to fix this issue immediately.

Down To Earth (DTE) is a contractor that is handling the lawn service in the community where I live. From the first time we had used them for service they were not trustworthy. The manager comes to give us an estimate for work to be performed then later comes back to tell us he uncharged us and stated we need to go to the higher amount. We stated that once the contract is signed you cannot change the price. They agreed. DTE has poorly taken care of our home with the jobs to be done. They destroyed one of my downspouts & it took them weeks to get me a new one. They installed sprinklers heads around my lanai cage & the sprinkler heads were installed crooked, the ground is uneven as they did not regrade the ground to the original even plane. They cracked the paver pad on Sept 22, 2022 when they ran over it with their lawnmower. We are still waiting for the money as we laid it out to the contractor. I am still waiting for them to replace 2 downspouts that have been damaged since Mid October 2022. We have been told they are hiring a new contractor for our development so I am trying to get this rectified prior to their departure.

We have reviewed the complaint and have investigated every complaint in the description. The consumers problems stem from having multiple vendors on-site. we have documented photos showing tree vendors, and other landscape vendors that have performed work and still perform work at their residence. We are only the maintenance company and have not damaged their personal property. It is hard to determine who damaged the areas that they are referring to.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: I have attached several documents showing that DTE has done the damages to our home. I have attached emails about the broken paver pad. An email that DTE paying Green Bandit for the broken paver pad. I also received an email from Green Bandit that they received payment from DTE for the work we paid Green Bandit for and now Green Bandit is going to send us a check since we paid Green Bandit in full for the work they performed at out property. I have attached images of the downspouts that have not been fixed. Chase said he would order the new downspouts. I am still waiting. One of their employees came to our home & only fixed part of the uneven ground to the side of the house. When I asked him about the uneven ground behind the cage the employee said he was only supposed to do the one area and that he would reach out and find out about fixing behind the cage. I have not heard from them since.  I even attached several complaints homeowners who have had to deal with DTE and they were not happy at all with their results.

    Sincerely,
