After review of this complaint, Abenity has discovered that this charge is not coming from Abenity therefore we are unable to refund this charge. It appears that this member was charged by Kids Bowl Free. We have reached out to the Kids Bowl Free team on your behalf but you can also contact them directly by emailing them at support@kidsbowlfree.com.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 22337734, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I see they have posted a credit in the exact amount of the money I lost in the transaction. Thank you.
    Sincerely,

My family and I purchased a family pass for the Kids Bowl Free summer of 2022 that was supposed to last until September 5, 2022. The company site required that you enter which location we would use the pass. We opted for the bowling alley in ******* ******. On Tuesday August 30, 2022 we went to the bowling alley to bowl. There were workers there that said the building would be closed for repair for the next few weeks. Later that day I emailed Kids Bowl Free and told them about the problem (see copy of email below). I was told to call for discussion. Today I called and spoke to a person who identified herself as *************************. After stating my issue she told me she did not see what the problem was since we have already used our coupons during the summer. I tried to reason with her that we paid to use the coupons all the way until September 5, 2022 at the ******* location and that we are cheated out of doing that since the bowling alley is closed. She said we would have to take it up with the bowling alley. I told her that we paid her company the money for the coupons so we should be compensated. I also asked for the owners name of Kids Bowl Free. She refused to give it to me, said we could report the company if we wanted and hung ** in my face.

7/16 Last week on Thursday we attended Boston Bowl in Hanover MA, we played two games of bowling and paid the clerk. Who handed us a postcard, which advertised Kidsbowlfree.com. Today, we decided to sign up at kidsbowlfree.com to get their $39 family package. When we went back to Boston Bowl, they said that it takes 48 hours for the membership for the summer to go through, and I had to pay for any of the games I would be using today. I paid for the games, and let them know I wasn't happy and would be following up. No where on the website or invoice when I paid did it state that I had to wait to play for free as part of the membership. I feel this is a poor customer experience, at the very least I'd like to get reinbursed by Kidsblowfree.com for the games we brought, and if the 48 hour waiting period is correct, it should be stated on the invoice, and on the FAQ for the website.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/07/22) */ We have contacted the consumer to resolve this issue. Our website does display on the registration page that there is a 48 hour wait until the bowling coupons are available. The consumer stated to us that he feels it should be displayed on the invoice as well. We offered to refund the cost he paid to bowl and he accepted that offer. The refund has been sent to his credit card. We are attaching a screenshot of the registration page which clearly states that there is a 48 hour waiting period. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/07/24) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) While I think the refund answers my question about the customer experience, I had asked the company to improve the customer experience to make it clearer about the 48 hour issue such as putting that amount of time in the invoice or sending an email.I think they should fix this issue.
