This is a terrible credit union. I paid off my auto loan on Dec. 7, 2024. Today is Dec. 23, 2024 16 days later. They have my money and I still have a lien on my car. Don't use them. Find another.Space Coast Credit Union Response

Space Coast Credit Union is the worse institution EVER. I did not have any experience with credit unions prior, so this was my first time. I read horrible reviews online regarding this credit union, but I agreed to open a business checking and savings account there and give them a chance because my husband is a veteran and he has been banking with SCCU for a few years even though he also hates it. They erroneously sent an international wire transfer from my business account and after almost 3 months when the money was finally recalled and returned to my account, it was short of $1,291.05 and NO explanations as to why or what this money was retained and deducted from my account.Space Coast Credit Union Response

I refinanced my car in August 2021. They just recently updated their mobile banking, which has given me better access to my car loan, and I noticed a lot of **** pay fees that were also marked as simple insurance. I called them and found out they took out a term life insurance policy, that I am paying for, to cover the balance of the loan in the event of my death. Payment for this policy was added into the principle of my car loan. I would expect practices like this from ***************. I am shocked that space Coast credit union added a life insurance policy in my name that would have added over $2000 to my car loan. Unfortunately I didnt catch it until I already added over $1500 to the principle of my loan. I will be closing all of my accounts and advising other customers to check their loans for these insurance policies. It is an optional benefit that ensures that your payments are protected throughout the life of your loan, even if something were to happen to you. If I could give a negative 10 I would. I transferred money to pay off a car loan. They locked me out of my acct and wanted verification that I made the transfer. I supplied the requested documents. But those were not sufficient enough. They wanted complete access to the account I transferred from and all details of the ****. Ive been on the phone and chat line for almost 3 hours with so far no resolve. I still do not have access to my account and simply just want to pay the loan off. In addition via their site they have all my transferring bank information. Apparently not enough. Beyond that I attempted to pay off the loan 3 days before but they made it impossible, hence the transfer. But the fact Im locked out of my acct and the money I transferred, is fraudulent. I have been a loyal customer of ********************** for many years, but I am increasingly frustrated with the lack of reliable customer service. Due to the difficulty in reaching a representative, *** kept minimal funds in my account, and my experiences with my Platinum account have been far from satisfactory. Each time I attempt to make a payment, it becomes a cumbersome process. Unfortunately, it seems the service is only getting ******** comparison, my experience with ***** has been exceptional. They prioritize customer service and are always responsive when I call. Today, I spent over 80 minutes attempting to speak with someone at Space Coast, only to be continuously rerouted through automated options, asked the same questions repeatedly, or disconnected. This kind of service is *************** a result, I am now actively looking for another credit union that offers a more personalized experiencewhere customers can easily speak with a live person when needed. I strongly urge Space Coast Credit Union to reconsider its approach to customer service before it loses more loyal customers like myself.Space Coast Credit Union Response

FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD.Absolutely the worst Bank I have ever worked with. I was set to receive my debit card last week, instead I received 3 fraud warnings AFTER almost all my money was taken out. I called the bank and issued a block on the card and issued a dispute with them. I was told the funds would be back in my account in 3-5 business days. I even filed a police report for the fraud. I just looked at my account and they denied my claim. I called and spoke to an agent who stated that the agent who initially took my claim stated i received the card WHEN I NEVER DID and therefore that's why my claim was denied. It should have been reported as stolen. The new agent took my police report case number to add to the claim so that they can re-review. This bank is so shady and its scary that they are doing this legally. I should have looked at the BBB reviews prior to giving them all my information. I now have to wait additional time because of they're ignorance.Space Coast Credit Union Response

Absolutely the worst credit union in ******* by far. Bought a car two years ago and financed thru them, no problem. Just trade it in and bought a new vehicle financed thru them, my interest rate went up 3.4 % even though my credit rating is the same or even better than before. When I tried to contact them, to ask them where is their customer loyalty and appreciation, I got stuck on hold for and hour. Nobody in the company talks to customers on the phone. They put you on hold forever. I had to request a call back on their automated system and never ever received one. I had to put my concerns online in their messaging system. Nobody once again called me to address my concerns .They don't care. They advertise auto finance with great rates for our customers, not so. False advertising. When I finally got a response online, it basically said ,you signed the contract at the dealership so live with it. I am ,as I am thinking about financing somewhere else or just letting them have the car back...Space Coast Credit Union Response

Dealing with this bank has been nothing but a headache. Trying to get a check cleared through them took a week and now they flagged it as suspicious but the check is good. Ill be closing all my accounts with them and will not ever deal with them ever again. Their over the phone customer service ***** and the bank manager wont even take my calls. Take youre money else where people!!!
