On Thursday February 2, 2023 I went to *****, ** for vacation. Upon going to dinner at Kantina (right next door to *************** in the area where valet services are) I confirmed with the staff at Kantina that my vehicle could be parked by valet and that they walk up and down the street and will return shortly. Within the next 30 minutes, a valet representative met me at Kantina (on the patio about **** as I arrived at 11pm), retrieved my $40, plus $2 tip for valet services and took off. I tried to give him my keys and he told me to keep them. I said do I need anything else, he replied no and said youre fine there. I stepped away for sometime to sight see on the strip and when I went to return to my vehicle, it was gone. I confirmed with ************* staff that my rental vehicle had been towed a little bit ago. With the help of ************* staff, we were able to contact the valet staff for support. After going back and forth with the valet agent regarding what time valet actually closed (12am) and confirming the staff member that took my money, the valet agent decided to pay as they realized it was their fault. Although the towing charges initially was quoted to be $320, the staff member sent us $315. Upon trying to retrieve my rental vehicle (which I had to catch a cab to) I was advised that because it was a rental I could not pick it up, instead I needed a notarized release from the rental car dealer. I then had to catch a cab to my airbnb. The following day, I caught an Uber to the airport to get guidance on my next steps in retrieving my rental vehicle. I was advised that I needed to pay the towing charges up front (at this time now $378) and then I could get another rental vehicle; which I did. I then proceeded to grab my personal belongings out of my old rental and discovered that I received a citation for parking in the spot I parked in. The next day, I tried going back to speak to a manager and Ive been getting the run away ever since. Please help.
