I booked the car from *********** by Saferide rent a car ***** location for 6 days from 23rd Nov to 28th Nov. 2024. When I booked the car it was showing me all the terms and conditions regarding the car rental In which it hasnt been mentioned that Supplemental liability insurance is mandatory to take from the car rental company (Saferide rent a car). I have Progressive auto insurance policy currently in effect since past almost ***** months which has a full coverage and should be valid to include rental car as I have confirmed with Progressive customer service agent. Also for CDW (Collision damage Waiver) I have logged into my **************** credit card account and Download a statement which mentioned that CDW and theft coverage is covered by the *********** credit ******** on the day of pickup, when I went to the saferide rent a car Miami location office to pickup the car, the representative who was assisting me to complete the paperwork for the rental car told me that I have to purchase Supplemental liability insurance from them and it is mandatory. I confronted him by saying that Till now it was never mentioned in the saferide rent a car terms and condition that it is mandatory to purchase Supplemental liability Insurance from the rental car company. According to florida rental car law it is totally against the law if car rental company forcefully charged you for the insurance. but representative denied it by saying that it is mandatory or else they wont hand me over a car and even will not give me a refund for the car booking. When I asked them to provide me a declaration page for the Supplemental liability insurance for which I paid $192, the representative denied me to give me declaration page of the insurance policy which shows the benefits, by saying that we are not allowed to provide that."That's why I want to file a complaint against this rental car company and wants a refund of $192 for insurance fraud charge.Initial Complaint

Hello,I was charged $1500 from this SafeRide rental car company for damages that were already there. I have attached the pics they sent to me that are from March 17, 2023 the day of the rental. I dont have pics of the return. They refused to send them to me and I didnt take any because I would have missed my return flight to *****. They also refused to transport me to the airport which is apart of the rental agreement. When I returned the car the manager asked me to pay $500 for the damages that was already there from 03/17/2023. When I refused, they charged $1500 to my card. I spoke with someone at the rental company she (********************) on March 21, and 27, 2023 said they charged me because I opted out of the **** After calling and leaving several messages from March *****. I had made several attempts to speak with someone higher up but all they refused that also. They have no estimate of the damages that I allegedly caused and charged me whatever they wanted to on the day of return 3/21/23. They didnt send any estimate with the items they sent over to my bank about the dispute I made with my financial institution. I requested a estimate of the alleged damages and they refused several times. However, I was still charged $1500 the same day and time of vehicles returned. This is a fraudulent claim from this rental company and I was very upset initially when it happened on March 21, 2023. So, when I called into my bank I said I never even had the vehicle. I was very upset they were trying to get over on me!!! However, I did have the vehicle March ***** 2023 but I did Not cause any damages to the vehicle. I am also attaching the agreement I have from them, which is blank and doesnt have any initials or signatures. Nor does it state I give authorization for them to charge my car for any damages Ref. Paragraph 5 which is apart of the **** I would like a refund for the false claim about damages of $1500. Please feel free to contact me if anything is needed ThanksBusiness response

Thank you for reaching out with this issue,Nymyah ****** rented a car with us from 03/17/2023 until 03/21/2023, for the inspection of the cars we made a security video walking around the vehicle to record any dent, scratch or **** that the car already had in order to prove vehicle conditions. She returned the vehicle with USB cables around the front bumper to "keep it" straight. (Pictures attached)In her legally binder rental agreement paragraph 4 line 3 you can see her initials next to "By initializing here you decline to purchase our CDW and you agree to be RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL DAMAGE to or LOSS or THEFT of the vehicle"She shows false proof of insurance (pictures attached)We just charge the reparation of the vehicle that she damaged.If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact **Best regards,*********************************ManagerSaferide************6 Attachments Scanned by GmailInitial Complaint

WE rented a car on booking.com from Saferide Rent a car from Dec 24th to Dec 31st 2022 to be picked up at the airport in *****. Upon the arrival of our flight in ***** at a few minutes before 5pm, we called Saferide several times to find out where they were, the phone wasn't picked up immediately. Finally, a man picked up the phone and claimed that they already closed at 5pm. We had already paid $492.80 for the car yet Saferide told us they didn't have a car available, hence,they did NOT deliver a car to us. Besides they were not inside the airport. They were offsite. What we believed happened was that on Christmas eve, car rental companies were renting cars for up to $1700 for 7 days and Saferide, although having being paid $492.80 on booking.com, rented out our car (A jeep cheerokee) for a higher amount and told us that they didn't have a car available despite the fact that we paid weeks in advance. We had no choice but to rent from another car rental company inside the airport. We paid a much higher price for a smaller car. When | reported this to booking.com, Saferide claimed that they called us and we didn't respond, and we didn't call them even though there's no evidence they called, and we provided evidence that we called Saferide upon our arrival at the airport, Saferide is refusing to refund fully our money despite not having provide the car we ordered and leaving us nearly stranded as the demand for car rental at the airport was high. This is a scam and we are requesting our money back from this company. Firstly, no car rental company closes at 5pm especially not in *****, secondly, we had already booked and paid for the vehicle weeks in advance yet they claimed they didn't have a car and now refusing to refund our money. I need your help to expose this crooked company and demanding a full refund back to my debit card. I attach a pdf file. The first on the list is the amount we paid for the vehicle which was NOT delivered to usBusiness response

Dear *******,This is a reply that we received under the customer ***************************. He had a reservation with us from 12/24/2022 until 12/31/2022. We have tried to contact him since 12/22/2022 (proof attached) he never responded to any call or text messages that we sent to the phone number provided in his reservation.We have a lot of website affiliates as a Kayak, booking.com, ************, carrentalexpress etc. He booked on booking.comWe don't charge anything until the customer picks up the car.
