  This company is insisting we pay an invoice (#R01767713 from Oct. 9, 2022) for a TeamViewer software license that we have not used in months. In fact, they informed us that the license had been suspended due to non-payment of the invoice for the coming 12-month term. They are telling us that we did not cancel 4 weeks in advance and thus must pay for the entire year. We informed them that we chose not to renew, as we no longer need this expensive license. They did not give us a courtesy notification, only an invoice on the date that the new 12-month term was supposed to start (which is a month after their supposed cutoff date to cancel, so not helpful). We consider this an abusive, unfair practice, to quietly keep customers locked into services they may no longer need or use. We reached out via phone and got no reply. We emailed them and they simply repeat their insistence on us needing to pay due to not canceling 28 days in advance. They have not provided a service and thus did not lose any time or money in providing anything to us under this invoice. In other words, we received no value and they incurred no expenses in providing any services to us in relation to this invoice. Thus, we ask that they cancel the invoice and clear this from their books so we are not harassed by them for payment of a license we have not used.
